Let Me Out
The leash tethering me down,
is wearing out.
Saying I'm not enough,
you better come up with something better.
Biting my tongue,
becomes more difficult every day.
Immune to your insults,
try to make me cry.
Patience,
no longer exists within me.
Rage,
has been building in me for years.
The darkness consuming me,
has spread to the lightest parts of me.
Talking is not an option,
for no one listens anyway.
Strong personality outside,
weak voice gone undetected inside.
