Newt receives tons of fan letters after his book gets published, and he wants/tries to answer each one and is appalled and cannot believe the love and interest he receives, but doesn't know how to respond to them so he puts little items and trinkets he finds fascinating (ex. a fwooper feather, a cool leaf, one funnily-shaped pellet) in the envelopes and mails them to his fans. Tina discovers this one day and finds it absolutely adorable but is worried his readers may be (very reasonably) perplexed so she writes little notes to accompany those trinkets in way of explanation and thanks. Just imagine being a Newt fan and then receiving a weird twig in response to your letter AND a note from his famous Auror wife
