*I’m alone in a secluded area within the large gym/weight room. It’s a pretty large room with a big mirror lining one wall. When I first found this room it reminded me of something I used to do. For weeks, I would just sit in the room, afraid to even breathe but today, I was finally standing and looking at myself in the mirror. My shoes are off and I’m only in my socks and my training uniform. I’m breathing heavily as I fight the doubt that’s building in my chest. It’s been so long since I’ve tried...I’m afraid. At first, I point my leg out, straight and perfect, just like I’ve been taught. Then my arm lifts above my head and my foot traces the floor. Ballet is a very tedious dance, it takes and gives, and I haven’t done a single move in years. The music plays in a my head and I dance out the choreography that I’ve known for years. Every move is full of power and grace. I watch myself in the mirror, making sure every step is flawless. My heart thumps as I close my eyes and let memory take me through. Right before the big finale, a grand jete, a memory flashes in my mind. A memory of pain and snapping bone, of crying and failure. It’s the memory that changed my whole career, my whole future. My knees locked and I tumbled to the ground. I lay on the ground breathing hard, tears running down my cheeks as I remembered the accident that ruined my life. I cursed myself loudly* I can’t do it… *a slight sound from the back of the room catches my attention and I look over to see Kylo watching me curiously. My heart sinks. He saw the whole thing.* Where did you-- When did you get here? I thought I was the only one who knew of this place…
Kylo: I arrived not long after you. I'm surprised you didn't notice me. I've been standing here in the open watching, also wondering.
*snickers* There's no such things as keeping a secret from me. I know everything. *looks around the room slowly* Except what you were actually trying to accomplish in here...
