When I said I was spending the rest of the summer with Kieran, he failed to mention that he lives all the way in Quebec City. I know it isn't as far as Edmonton is from Waterloo, but an 8-hour road trip from Algonquin Park to Quebec City isn't what I had in mind.
He also failed to mention that I'm going to have to contribute to the gas money.
Oh how I hate that guy.
But to be perfectly honest, the journey itself wasn't that bad. Kieran drove for the entire journey since I lied to him about not having a driver's license. I can't believe he bought it.
Either way, I spent the first few hours of the journey sleeping, that is until Kieran got bored and decided to wake me up by playing music loudly. We had a few pitstops and even a lot of stops for photo-ops. Kieran's camera also reached its maximum storage capacity and I'm not even surprised.
Once we reached our destination, Kieran dashed to transfer his pictures to his phone so he can share them on Instagram, ignoring his parents. His parents sighed and then welcomed me, and they seemed to be very nice people. They didn't seem bothered by my sudden plans to stay and were rather happy. His siblings, an older brother and younger sister, were also okay with it.
Kieran has vowed to show me all what Quebec City has to offer, and I'm quite excited. I will update you with all the landmarks I would hopefully visit.
