Looking at Percy now, Annabeth couldn't help but feel a tiny pang of guilt. He did, after all, love her. He jumped into Tartarus, kept her safe, but he put his faith in the wrong people; the gods. Annabeth never thought she could hate something as much as she hated them, never could she imagine having all the power that she did now. Yes, the wings did hurt but all gifts come with a price. Just then she felt someone lean on her shoulder, "did you miss me Annie?" She smiled and nodded, "it's been way too long." Luke smiled and moved to where he could see Annabeth's beautiful pure gray...black eyes? He ran his hand through her hair that now had black tips. She was as beautiful as ever. "So tell me, why am I here today?" Luke asked, Annabeth's face suddenly grew serious. "Well End basically gave me powers and long story short I'm his second in command and I need a lieutenant and I was wondering if you would do it." Luke nodded, "of course but tell me. Why did you fight me all those years ago? I mean, what made you turn against them? She shrugged, "well I thought it was crappy how they neglected their children when we were all asking for guidance yet they didn't help. Also, I had nothing there to live for after you left. No one valued my wisdom." Like nodded, "but what about Perce?" She looked at him, "what about him?" "Like, is he here?" Luke secretly prayed he wasn't because Percy was so loyal to the gods before. "He here alright just not in the way you'd expect... Follow me." She hopes he's proud of her, Annabeth had finally realized that what he was saying all those years ago was true.

When they got to where Percy was, Luke couldn't help but feel extreme pity. Percy was famous, even in the underworld. Souls spoke of Percy jumping into Tartarus and defeating Gaea, all in all he didn't deserve this. Annabeth had an evil glint in her eyes, like she was proud of what she had done. Bruises cover him from head to toe and he was covered in scars and blood. One on his arm says 'monster' another says 'murderer'. Percy's normally tan skin was really pale. His breathing was choppy and uneven. Luke faked a devious smile at Annabeth who was studying Luke with a blood chilling smile on her face. "Just wait Luke, imagine every god and demigod who's not on our side could end up a little better than this. He gets the special treatment for killing so many monsters." Luke imagined all the monsters that Percy had killed over the years, boy that was a lot. "I'll have time to like..torture him alone, won't I?" Like said trying to keep his voice from cracking. Annabeth nodded, "go ahead Luke. I have a meeting to go to anyway. Knock yourself and him out. I expect he'll be waking up soon." Just then Annabeth dissolved into hellfire, probably her form of flashing out. Luke slowly and quietly walked over to Percy's limp form. He found a bucket of seawater and poured it on him to give him a little relief. "Let me guess, here for pay back aren't you? Are you going to stab me with a blade soaked in gorgons poison? Or maybe more scorpions? I heard you guys talking." Percy was going on and on, "it's not like anyone's coming to stop you. Destroy me; no one else." His normally happy sea green eyes were dull and lifeless. Luke shook his head, I'm not torturing you. It might take a while but I'm getting you out of here."
