"Don't put that on while you're driving."

Gideon, Reid and Grey were on their way to Andrew Foyer's house. Grey had been attempting to put on her vest while driving, and Jason wasn't a fan of the concept.

"Too late. We're nearly there, and I'm not putting it on while we're in the driveway."

Reid seems concerned as well, leaning forward from the back seat and offering his input. "Grey, seriously, you could crash the car. Just pull over for a second."

"I've nearly got it. No one's pulling over," she chides, sticking the last bit of velcro. "See, all done."

Gideon ignores her, querying, "Does Foyer have any family living with him?"

"No. He's single and has no family in the city," Reid states, remembering it from his personal file.

The man had been shot by a gang leader while on duty, and no one thought to check on him for nearly two hours. Miraculously, he lived, but not without a hatred for all types of law enforcement.

It would have been more rational to blame the gang member, or gangs in general, of course. However, it seemed like he his mind had made the decision for him, that law enforcement was the problem.

"Unsurprising," Grey says, although it doesn't add much to the conversation. "If he did have anyone close to him, they would've noticed his deep-set psychosis by now."

The others seem to agree, though, nodding in confirmation.

Grey pulls into Foyer's driveway soon after, taking her gun from her holster and looking to the men in the car with her. "Gideon, head around back. Reid, take the front door. Try knocking first. I'll try to cover both of you."

Neither is surprised that she took the harder position, agreeing and getting out of the car.

Reid makes his way to the door, his fingers on his holster. Using his free hand, he knocks fairly loudly, saying, "Andrew Foyer, this is the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I'm going to need you to slowly open your front door, please." He subconsciously said nearly the exact phrase that Grey had used on numerous cases.

It's silent for a minute, so he knocks and repeats the phrase.

Still not earning a reply, Reid turns the doorknob, realizing it was unlocked. He motions to Grey that he's going inside, and steps through the threshold.

Meanwhile, Gideon quietly makes his way to the back of the house. He looks to the back door, noticing that it was ajar. Immediately, he searches the yard, looking for a way the suspect could've escaped. He didn't think it was possible for him to get very far, considering it was only a second ago that Reid announced his presence.

He searches the shrubbery, becoming progressively more baffled when he comes up empty. He leans over the fence, trying to find some sort of sign to where Foyer had gone.

Unexpectedly, Gideon is charged by an intense force, his head slamming against the fence on impact. His body collapses, seeming shocked by the blow.

He lands on his back, looking at the man standing over him. Sure enough, the man matched Andrew Foyer's driver's license photo, haircut and all. He also had a gun pointed in Jason's direction, a standard glock-17 that most Virginia officers use.

Gideon blinks a few times, trying to process the best plan of action. He could grab his ankle and try to subdue him, but Foyer could very easily shoot him before falling over.

Andrew tilts his head, seeming to appreciate that a victim was given right to him. He also looks angry, likely processing that this could be his last kill.
