I needed space to myself. I ran to the bathroom. I felt weak for letting Cesar in so easily. My reflection stares at me. God, I looked terrible. "Jesus Cesar, your lucky I love you" I mumbled to myself. As I was splashing some water on my face, I had gotten a text from our group chat; including me, Ruby, Jamal, Monse, Cesar, and of course Olivia.
Jamal: After school we head straight to Ruby's to discuss further actions on RollerWorld
Ruby: I never agreed to that
Cesar: I got plans
Me: Lil spooky's always busy. Like one big rolling stone that never stops moving
Cesar: Funny
Olivia: Am I missing something Cesar
Me: Maybe Cesar isn't the one you should be asking Olivia
Monse: Enough from all you guys. If we can't meet up today Jamal we'll meet up this weekend
Ruby: I second that notation
Jamal: All in favor say "ayyy"
Me: Ayyy
Cesar: Ayyy
Olivia: Ayyy
Monse: Then it's settled. Saturday at Ruby's
Ruby: WHY MY HOUSE???
I sighed as I clicked off my phone. "RollerWorld" I huffed. " Dumbass RollerWorld" I said. "You know Jamal would be pissed if he heard you say that" Cesar called from outside the girls bathroom. I opened the door and gave him the "why the hell are you standing outside the girl's bathroom, listening to my conversation" look. He laughed. "Dude why are you here" I said clearly confused. "I'm dude now?" He asked his eyebrow was arched. "Papi" I muttered. I always felt dumb saying it but Cesar always told me he loved it. "Seriously why are you here?" I asked again. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay" he said. I cocked an eyebrow at him. "I smell bullshit but okay" I said while fully stepping out of the bathroom. Cesar offered me his hand which I hesitantly took it. We walked down the end of the hallway to the gym which was empty in 6th. We sat the bleachers next to each other.
"Are you scared of me"
I chewed the inside of my lip
"You make me have butterflies in my stomach every time I'm near you"
"Is that good?"
"Of course, it makes me know that whatever brought us together is still there"
Cesar laid his head on my shoulder. We sat there until the bell ring. "Skip again?" He asked me. "I can't my sister would kill me" Cesar laughed and kissed you on your lips while you guys were getting ready to your 7th period. "Tonight" I said and he smiled
"Tonight"
