"Well, well, well the vixen with the bad attitude has finally come around. I can meet you now if you want, I've been waiting a long time for you to come running back to me."

"Eww, gross Jordan stop being a disgusting
pig."

"Then what," he grumbles annoyed all the flirtation gone from his voice.

"Look all I need you to do is pretend you're dating Isabell for like two seconds."

"Why would I do that? How does this benefit me?" Of course, his first question is what he gets out of it.

I look at Izzy who is now biting her nails furiously I don't know if I'm making things better or worse but judging by the rate Izzy is chomping on those fingernails, I would guess the latter.

"You get to help out two insanely hot girls and not get your ass kicked...again."

"Hmm, " he pauses, "tempting but not tempting enough firey one."

"What do you want?" I say through gritted teeth. If it's anything like what he started this conversation wanting I will kick his ass all over again but I think he's smarter than that... barely.

"I want a favor to be redeemed when I'm in need of your help."

"Fine, one future favor with restrictions, I'm not having sex with you, I'm not kissing you, in fact, you lay one hand on me at all and I'll break it."

I can hear his throaty laugh as I imagine him laying back on his couch, his latest video game paused, his headphones resting around his neck and I remember a time before he was such an intolerable asshat. A time when we were inseparable, me, Simon and Jordan, the there Musketeers... and then we weren't.

Sometimes I blame myself, we were so young, maybe in eighth grade? I guess, it wasn't that long ago, almost five years ago but it feels as if it was a lifetime ago.

"Calm down Yoko, won't be that kind of favor, you'll come back to me in time. I'm a patient guy."
Not this shit again, for the first year after I left him, that's all I heard as if I would forgive him for what he did to Simon. He broke my heart the day he broke Simons. After that day we pretended like me and Jordan never happened.
I think part of me wanted that to be true so bad, I started to believe it myself. That's why calling him makes me so damn sick.

"Don't hold your breath or better yet do."

"I love it when you talk dirty to me Fray."

"You know what! Just forget it!"

He sighs, "I'm sorry," he says for once sounding sincere. Reminding me of the guy I used to know, we would have never worked as a couple but sometimes I do miss my friend. "What do you need Fray? I'll do it, no favor in return needed."

"Thanks, Jordy, " his old nickname just slips off my tongue by mistake as I ask him to meet us at the pizza parlor.

Izzy is staring at me as I hang up the phone. "What in the hell was that?"

"Once upon a time we were friends all three of us, and there was a time I and Jordan were more."

Izzy gasps, "It was a short relationship," I rush to add, "if you can even call it that and it fizzled out rather quickly but serious or not the damage was done. It caused this huge explosive feud that has yet to be resolved to this day. Jordan did something unforgivable to Simon in the process, and I ended it. It was a long time ago. I and Simon remained best friends but Jordan became our mutual enemy."
