Chapter 8 : Soft

Third Person POV

"I like you.................Hyewon-ssam"

The moment Yena heard that, her heart dropped and broke into a million pieces.

What...

That was Yuri's voice...no mistaking it. Yena clenched her chest with her hand, trying to stop it from throbbing. Her mind was in a daze. Her body started shaking as tears flowed down continuously her cheeks. She was witnessing her crush's love confession to another person. Unable to contain the pain from her heart anymore, she hastily left the place while wiping her tears.

The next day

Chaewon POV

I entered the school, ignoring the screams of my fan girls. At this moment, "she" was the only person I was looking for. I scanned through the crowds of students and finally saw her. A smile made its way onto my face when I saw Minju. I was about to call her when I saw something unpleasant. A guy pulled her wrist, leading her out into the school rooftop. The sight made furrow my eyebrows. It was clear that Minju hated what the guy was doing. Without another thought, I followed them.

"I already told you that I don't like you Lee Jaehyuk"

"And I told you I can change that!!" the guy with light brown hair smiled arrogantly.

The guy took a step forward, making Minju to take a step back. I was alarmed when he lifted his hand to caress Minju's cheek, which she avoided. He scoffed and tried to get closer to Minju. I took it as my cue to interupt and immediately went in between them.

"She said she doesn't like you so why not walk out through that door already" I gestured at the door leading out of the rooftop. I glanced back and saw Minju's surprised face.

Haha...She really looks like a frog.Cute.

"And what if i don't" the guy folded his arms and looked at me.

"Then I'll make you" I glared at him.

"Woah there Kim Chaewon" The guy smiled smuggly in amusement "I'm not going to beat up a girl"

"How do you know me?"

"Of course I do" His eyes suddenly went dark " My ex-girlfriend left me because of you"

"Because of me? I can't help it that my charms are better than your pathetic moves"

"What did you say?" He gritted his teeth.

I just grinned in victory as I saw that "Lee Jaehyuk" guy slowly losing his temper. I was about to continue insulting him when i felt Minju tug on my uniform's sleeve, gesturing me not to go on further.

"You" The guy spoke " Tonight at 8pm meet me at XX park. You need to be taught a lesson"

"Heh Why not?" I challenged back. He took one look at me before leaving the rooftop in irritation.

I turned back to face Minju and saw that she had a troubled(?) look on her face. I hummed at her in question but she ignored it and stared at the ground.

"Wow...Are you really going to treat this way to the person that just saved you Kim Minju-ssi?" I asked jokingly. I scooted my face closer to hers and suddenly, what happened last night between us came into my mind.(reference to chapter 6)
