"****************?" Nico yelled.
"Wait! Who the hell is ************?" Joy asked.
"Me." A foreign voice stated.
"Oh. Sure. But it still doesn't make sense. Why was Nico all going crazy--" Joy was cut by Nico.
"Okay, I was not going crazy!"
"Yes, you were. Anyways, why was Nico going all crazy when he heard your name?"
"Oh, it's a long story." The voice said.
"What? Why? What do you mean it's a long story?"
"It's very, very, long, and I just don't want to tell you." The newcomer huffed angrily.
"Hey, can you come out so I can see you? I don't even know where you are! It's like your voice is coming from all different directions."
"No."
"Really?"
"No."
"Yep, that's Joy right there. just a ray of sunshine." Joy this time heard a female voice say that. Then she decided to sort herself out.
1) She was a demigod.
2) Nico was a demigod.
3) Newcomer 1 is very annoying.
4) Newcomer 2 seems to be the leader, because of her steady tone, and how everyone, even Nico, who was muttering things about 'death ' and 'cheating' and 'escaped souls', shut up.
And then there were like, 3 other voices.
"Hey, I wonder if there's any food there! I'm hungry."
"No, you're not! You ate a day ago!"
"So? If the boy's hungry, let him eat. He's growing. And there's also the fact that he feeds me more than you do."
"HEY!"
"Alright, kiddos. calm down." Newcomer 1 said.
"I will not calm down unless I get a full explanation of what is going on!" Joy yelled, interrupting the conversation.
"Okay, I owe you an apology. My name is Max. Max Ride. and this is Fang, Total, and Gazzy. And we are The Flock. "
Newcomer 2 said. As she said Fang, she pointed to Newcomer 1, and for Total and Gazzy, gestured to two newcomers, a boy and a dog. But then Joy seemed to realize something when she asked something to Max.
"Hey, but before I heard 3 voices. And it wasn't from you (Max) or Fang."
"Um, well, you see..." Max said.
"I can talk. Do you have a problem with that?" The voice from before spoke. But it wasn't from Max or Fang or Gazzy. Which meant...
"Wait. You can talk? But you're a dog!"
"Yeah, I'm a dog. So?"
"Uh, nothing. never mind."
"Anyways, if we're done with that conversation, I have a question. Who are you? We have given you our names and our trust easily. So you should too." Max said, sternly.
"Yeah, only because di Angelo's here." Fang muttered.
"Fang, shut up. Now, girl. Talk." Max snapped at Fang, then turned to me.
"Well, my name is Hope. Joy Hope. And what I want to know is your relationship with Peasant Boy over there." Joy replied.
"Heh. Peasant Boy." Iggy said. "Nice."
"Thanks." Joy replied.
"You know, I thought I told you not to call me that!" Nico whisper-yelled.
"Whatever." Joy said, smugly.
"Hey, can we not get off topic? We've spent almost 20 minutes just introducing ourselves. And we're not even done!" Nico exclaimed. Probably to get the topic off him. Joy thought.
"Nico's right. We shouldn't get off topic. We're wasting precious time. We should be using this time to try and escape!" Max said, all leader-ishly.
