I gaze down,
Looking at my watch.
My lips form a frown,
As I remember years past.Do you remember
How you shut me out?
You shut him out of your life too,
And I was left without you.He taught me life lessons,
You never thought to teach.
With him, I learned all sorts,
Cooking, cleaning, cars, and how to preach.I think back on all you've taught,
I have a hard time recalling.
This sounds so harsh,
I hate speaking my mind.I won't ever fight,
And you both trust me so.
Trust me with your fears and insecurities,
I'm still young, though.I say these words,
Not to offend.
No, I simply mean to inform,
This fightin' has got to end.
