He felt his heart swell with an emotion never felt by anyone

At the sight of her

He had never seen such extraordinary beauty in a woman

She sat in a coffee table outside his favorite restaurant, patting her manicured foot on the dry sidewalk

She took a long drag of her cigar and blew the smoke full of cancer smoothly in the air

His heart started beating intensely as he began brewing thoughts in his mind

What if today is the day?, he thought to himself as he watched from a distance

He was in his usual spot, feeling exactly the same as the day he had first seen her

In the split of a second, the woman looked up and made eye contact with him

Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead and for a second he thought he tasted salt in his tongue

She kept staring and soon began recollecting her things

She's coming over here, his mind screamed with anticipation yet he felt as if he was caught committing a crime

Isn't it a crime to want something so endearingly beautiful but yet you cannot possess it?

For a moment, he felt excitement as the woman stood up on her feet and looked at him once again

However, his heart shattered into a million pieces when she turned the other way and left
