Zoe POV

I met up with my best friend Patrick at Heaven Pastries, our favorite place.

"Hey babe! I missed you"He said and hugged me. 

"Hi! Where have you been?" I asked while looking for a place to sit.

"How's work?" I continued and walking towards a vacant table near the window.

"Been busy for the photoshoot! My boss keeps getting bitchy and demanding as the deadline is coming. We are all waiting for our heads to be chopped off by the guillotine everyday!" Patrick said with irritation. 

Patrick is a stylist for the famous Glamour magazine. He and Tia are also best friends and co-workers.

As soon as we settled in, a waitress placed a paper placemat and a glass of lemon water.

She asked for the food that we are going to order. After scanning the menu, we finally decided to order a set of sample dessert.

"So who will you be styling for the next issue?" I asked while handing the menu back to the waitress.

"J.Lo And I'm freaking out" he said while being so starstruck.

"What's the theme for the next issue" I asked while sipping a bit of water.

"That's the whole department is getting so busy with" Patrick said and I can feel the pressure of his job.

The waitress placed the sampler on the table and we chose what we want. I placed a blueberry cheese cake on my plate while Patrick took the sinful chocolate cake.

"We're all running back and forth getting all the latest collection from all the designers" He said while eating a piece of the cake.

"Last week a $10,000 Marchesa dress that I really like for the photoshoot got damaged because the ceiling of the wardrobe department got a freaking leak" I was listening to his rant while eating a blueberry cheesecake. 

"I asked them to fix the dress because it turned like fucking Big Bird wore the dress and left his color on the it. They called me and the dress will not make it for the photoshoot" He was really stressed out and I can't imagine how he dealt with his department.

When Patrick envisioned something for the photoshoot, he will stop nothing until he gets what he wants and now he can't get it, he has to look for another dress.

 "I know that you will kick-ass on that photoshoot!" I said to encourage him since I can't do anything to ease his problem.

My phone suddenly rang, it was my department boss.

 "We have a problem with the release of our product! Meeting will start in an hour." My bossed sounded so serious.

"I'll be there." I said and ending the call. Patrick was already looking at me and waiting for me to tell him about the call.

"I hate to cut out mini-bonding short, but we have problems at the company today" I said as I was finishing my cheesecake.

 "What the hell?! Work on a sunday?" He said getting all sad.

"They are all party pooper!" He protested. 

"Well I don't have any choice, do I? I need the money for me and my mom" I said as I was gesturing for the waitress to hand us out the bill.
