An Echo From The Past

Your voice was but another echo in the dark

Sinking deeper and deeper,

Into the veiled blackness

Full of nothing but nothingness

A call into the unknown

Seeking the inevitable

Redemption upon thy soul

Gray with recurrent torment

Incarcerated between space

And existential disarray

Blind to the outside world

Glimmering with quenched fulfillment

That shutters all the inexplicable anguish

Relieving all the external hostilities

Paving way for your perfect flow

A river of never-ending freedom

Slipping over sticks and stones

To the awaiting sea of joy and ecstasy

You still waited on it with eagerness

Hoping it would bring tidings

But that was yet another broken arrow

Shot in the raving darkness.
