Emma's POV

Today I'm hanging out at an orphanage which is something I like to do once or twice a month.

"Hey Stacy." I say when I get to the door of the orphanage.

"Hey Emma." The owner says and hugs me. "Sorry, but today isn't a good day for you to be here."

"Oh?"

"Most of the kids are sick and on bed rest."

"Oh that stinks...Is there any one I could take out for the day?" I ask.

"Actually there is one. I'll go get her." Stacy says then leaves and comes back with the cutest little girl I've ever seen.

I squat down to get to her level.

"Hi sweetheart."

"Hi." She says shyly.

"My name's Emma."

"I'm Imogen."

"A beautiful name for a beautiful little girl." I say and she blushes and smiles. "Imogen would you like to hang out with me for the day?"

The little girl looks up at Stacy.

"You can go with Emma if you want to Sweetie." Stacy says so Imogen looks at me and nods.

"Awesome. Go get whatever you need for the day." I say and Imogen takes off back into the house and I stand back up. "What's her story?" I ask.

"Her family wasn't that nice to her if you catch my drift." Stacy says.

"Jerks." I mumble.

"Yeah."

"How old is she?"

"6"

"Crap." I whisper when I feel my keys.

"What?" Stacy says.

"I only have two seats in my car."

"It's fine. Just be careful." Stacy says as Imogen get's back with her jacket, I guess incase it rains since it is looking kinda stormy.

"Ready to go?" I ask and Imogen nods and holds out her hand so I take her little hand in mine. "Alright well we'll see you later Stacy."

The two of us walk to my car and I help Imogen into the seat and help her with the seat belt then walk around and get into my side.

"So..." I say and look at Imogen. "What would you like to do today?"

"What's there to do?" She asks.

"Well we have a couple hours till lunch so we could go to an arcade, or the beach, or a movie, or a theme park, or whatever you want to do.

"I've never been to a theme park before." Imogen says.

"Well I know the perfect place we can go." I say.

The two of us then make the 30 minute drive to the Santa Monica Pier. Midway to Santa Monica I rest my hand on the center console and Imogen reaches over and puts her hand in mine making me smile. Once we arrive at the pier both of us get out and then Imogen grabs my hand again which makes me feel something that I've never felt before.

For the next two hours we ride most of the rides and play most of the games. Thankfully Imogen won one of the games and she picked out Leopard stuffed animal and it's so cute to see her walk around hugging it for dear life. As we are about to leave to get lunch Imogen and I stop into the bathroom and while I'm doing my business I finally realize what that feeling was I got from holding Imogen's hand. The only issue is that I have a fiancée who I have to think about.
