My heart is ticking like a clock
Beating in my chest like a drum
Blaring in my head like buzzer going off
Making my veins pulse
And blood boil
Sweat rises to my forehead
Muscles tighten
My jaw clamps shut
My ears ring from the silence
The monitor goes flat
