To the one who listened to me
Though I felt abandoned
To the one who never failed to make me smile
Though at times I was insulted
To the one who reminded me I was never alone
Though I don't know them well
To the one who I looked up to
Though goes through rough times as well
To the one who understood
Though it's hard to get along
To the one who took me in
Though sometimes I felt as though I don't belong
I felt love and joy
Through the sadness and pain
They made me smile and laugh
When I wasn't inside
They helped me get through the day
They made me who I am
To the ones I care about
To my friends
Thank you
You taught me love
You taught me to smile
You taught me to trust
You taught me it's okay to feel what I feel
You taught me to be patient
You taught me that people change, and I don't need to hold on
Though sometimes I feel
As though I've gone astray
That no one could want me
No one could love me
Though I felt defeated
That I had lost
Through the rough times
There is still victory
Because you are there beside
Because you guide me
I feel as if I have won
