****Time skip to day of the ball (Friday)****
Emily's p.o.v
It is now Friday and almost the whole day, the girls have been preparing Ashley and I for the ball tonight considering only the two of us and our dates, Alex and Blake, are allowed to attend. In the morning we gave the boys their suits and told them to pick us up for the ball at 7:45pm before kicking them out of the house. It is now 7:40pm and me and Ashley look absolutely stunning in our dresses. Yet, I can't stop my mind from wondering off to Blake. I wonder what he looks like in his suit. What will he think of my dress? I hope he likes it.

Yesterday, Blake took me on an official date. He treated me like a queen. His Queen. And for that reason, I am glad I agreed to go on the date. By the end of the date he had officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I said yes. Even though it may seem like we are moving fast, it just feels natural. As if we had known each other for years. Hopefully nothing will change that.
It's now 7:45pm and the sound of the doorbell ringing snapped me out of my thoughts. with one last look in the mirror I start walking down the stairs where Blake awaits me at the bottom looking as handsome as ever. As I reach the bottom, he seems to snap out of whatever daze he had been in.
"You look gorgeous, mi amore" He spoke in an awe filled voice, causing a blush to rise on my cheeks. "You're looking quite handsome yourself" I reply, maintaining our intense stare. After a few more seconds, I break it when I hear Ashley coming down the stairs in her beautiful dress and making her way towards my brother. "Are we ready to go?" Blake says breaking the silence.
"Yes, let's get going, we are already a little late" I said making my way out the door with everyone following closely behind. We get into my matt black Lamborghini and start driving to the Grand Ballroom where the event was being held. When we pull up, I give my keys to the valet boy and made my way up the steps and into the main hall.
As we were about to enter through the main doors to the ball room, Blake pulled me aside and told Alex and Ashley that we would meet them inside. A few moments later we heard the herald (person who announces people at formal events) announce their names followed by the sound of the footsteps walking down the steps.
"Are you ok?" Blake asked me with a concerned look on his face. I just smiled and gave him a small kiss on his forehead before taking his hand and pulling him to the doors.
He pushed it open and I gave the herald our names and titles. As he was announcing our arrival, Blake gracefully lead me down the stairs and even though all eyes were on is, his eyes were on me. And that's all I needed.
As we made it to the bottom of the stairs, everyone continued on as normal and me and Blake started looking for Ashley and Alex.
While we were walking, we were roped into conversations with a few potential business partners and only found Ashley and Alex 30 minutes after we started looking. They were dancing to the music in the centre of the room with many other dancing couples surrounding them. Not wanting to interrupt, me and Blake decided to dance.
The whole time we were dancing we maintained eye contact. It felt as if he was staring into the depths of my soul, uncovering secrets I didn't even know existed. But all too soon the trance we were in was broken by the sound of gunshots.
***Third persons p.o.v***
Everyone dove to the floor and started running to the exit as the sound of gunshots rung through the grand hall. The soothing music was replaced with gut-wrenching screams as people attempted to flee. Amongst the chaos, Blake and Emily were separated. Emily called his name and looked around trying to spot him. Blake heard her calls despite the loud screams but when he finally caught a glimpse of her, A masked man came up from behind her and knocked her out before dragging her away and further into the swarm of people. Blake started frantically searching for them, but it was too late. She was gone.
