Three
Tristan
"Ready?"
"Ready."
Tristan gave a soft smirk. "Let's do this."
The devil and his friends Alex, Evan, and Mike were standing around outside the drug store.
Alex's brown eyes gleamed with delight. Evan looked worried, he kept pulling at his short brown hair. And Mike looked ready for anything, still and calm, like a waiting giant.
"Are you sure we can pull it off, Tristan?" Evan asked.
Tristan rolled his eyes. "Would we be here if I wasn't? Smartin' up, man."
"Yeah," Alex piped, "smartin' up, man."
"Really, Alex?" Mike sighed in embarrassment.
Alex muttered something inaudible and crossed his arms.
"Let's just go." Tristan pushed open the door to the drug store and sighed in annoyance when that stupid little bell dinged overhead.
All four boys walked around aimlessly for a few minutes. Tristan checked out girls while Alex took a look around the bra department and Evan and Mike were making sure they'd all have a safe getaway.
A couple of minutes later, Tristan watched with delight as Mike pretended to push Alex around.
"What the hell?! I told you never to be near me. Idiot," Mike growled, pushing Alex harshly.
"I-I'm sorry," Alex whimpered.
"You little piece of shit!" Shouted Mike, "punching" Alex so he'd fall to the ground.
Alex and Mike began to draw a crowd. The guy at the checkout area got up from his spot to try and stop the one-sided fight.
Tristan took that chance to slyly walk to the newly unattended cash register. "Hell no," he mumbled, realizing there was a lock. "Wait. There's tons of crap here." Tristan looked around a little before finding a paper clip. He unfolded it and jammed it into the lock.
Tristan looked up as he struggled to unlock the cash register. Mike and Alex were still going at it. The cashier was desperate to put a stop to it, but he wasn't doing a very good job. Alex had begun to fight back.
Click.
"Yes," Tristan muttered, yanking the cash register open.
He swiped six hundred seventy dollars and quickly hid the money in his jacket. Closing the cash register, Tristan started walking towards the door, trying to go unnoticed.
That's when he saw the security cameras. Immediately, Tristan swiped a pale hand at all of the cameras in the general direction of where he just was. A couple sparks and the faint smell of smoke told Tristan he wouldn't be getting caught.
He headed outside the store where Evan was waiting anxiously in his car.
"Are we good?" Evan asked. His grey eyes screamed with worry.
"Yeah, now unlock the door."
Evan did as he was told and Tristan slid nonchalantly into the passenger seat.
As Evan began driving he asked, "So, what about Mike and Alex?"
Tristan rolled his eyes. "They'll be fine, Evan. Okay?"
"Okay."
"Jeez. Don't get all Fault In Our Stars on me," Tristan scoffed.
Evan sighed and put more speed into the drive.
