'Veronica! Veronica! Mutey! Wake up!' I heard suddenly, making me snort.

"Geez, Mutey, I still hate your snores. You sound like a dying elephant." Grif said suddenly, making me look over.

"Which makes me curious, how can a mute person snore?" Simmons questioned.

I shrugged.

"Sargeant! Sargeant!" I heard suddenly and sat up, turning to see Caboose.

"What do you want, Blue?" Sarge asked.

"I need your help." Caboose said.

I stood, approaching Caboose.

'He sure seems anxious.' I thought.

"Our help?" Simmons questioned.

"Yes, Church is hurt, they must have gotten to him and Tex." Caboose said.

'Shit.' I thought.

'Ya, sorry, I don't want to be the last A.I. fragment, to be truthful.' Tau responded.

'I suspected as much for a long while, Tau, even though you kind of hate Church.' I thought.

"They got Tex? Good, that just means she won't be able to beat the hell out of us any more." Grif said.

"No we have to rescue them." Caboose said.

I put a hand on Caboose's shoulder and nodded to show I would help.

"Rescue them, are you nuts? No one told them to leave, they're on their own." Grif said.

I glared at Grif.

"But they'll die! Sargeant please." Caboose begged.

"Uh hey dude, I don't know if you've picked up on this yet, but if you wanna convince Sarge to do anything, I don't think the best argument is 'The Blues might die if we don't.'" Grif said.

I watched as Sarge hopped down, "Cowboy up Caboose, Mutey, I'm comin' with you." Sarge said.

'Uhhh.... can I just point out how much that shocks me?' I thought.

'Yep.' Tau agreed.

"What?" Grif said in shock.

"I said I'm helping him." Sarge replied.

"Who, the blue guy? Why on Earth would you ever help a Blue for no reason?" Grif pointed out.

"We need some weapons. How'd your equipment test go, Simmons?" Sarge said.

"About as well as you would expect." Simmons replied.

'We should do one last check of those enhancements Simmons found, we were not able to take a close look at them with Simmons and Grif there.' Tau thought.

'Good idea.' I replied.

"Heuh, that's too bad." Sarge said.

"Well I'm not going, and you can't make me. You quit, remember? I don't take orders from you any more, and besides, this whole command structure thing was bullshit anyway. We all know that now." Grif said.

"I'm not tellin' you ta go. I'm not even askin'." Sarge said in the same voice, no annoyance in it whats-so-ever.

'Uhhhh....what?' I thought.

"You're not?" Grif said in even more shock.

"Nope. I'm goin'. That's it. You wanna come, come on. But I don't expect you to. Simmons will probably tell you that statistically, some of us will probably die." Sarge said.
