Alissa's PoV
As Jace and I started to jump over the rooftops, we tell that the others were catching up to us."Stop!" I yelled pulling Jace back as he went to jump to the next rooftop but I pulled him back knowing he wouldn't make it. I looked around for a away down. But growled as there was no way to get away without going back the way we came.
"Alissa, Jace!" Clary shouted as she run up behind us. She gasped in surprised as Jace threw a fist at her. I threw my dagger towards her head, but dodged it just as Jace kicked one of hers out of her hands. I Smirked as she breathed in deeply when Jace punched her in the stomach, I sat down on the edge of the building and watched amused as they fought each other.
"Ugh, just finish her already." I scowled, flipping a dagger in my hand as I got bored of the fight between them. Suddenly, as Clary was distracted by trying to quickly take something out of her belt, Jace grabbed her by the throat. "Ugh, finally."
"Jace, this isn't you." She choked out, making Jace more frustrated. She gasped in surprised as he held her over the edge. "Jace, I know you're still there. You won't kill me. Jace... I love you." My smile faded slightly as he brought her close to his lips, but I could still see the hatred in his eyes.
"I don't love you. Not anymore." His voice sounding dark. He smirked over at me before hovering Clary over the edge and practically threw her down below as if she was nothing. I looked up from my perfectly done nails as I heard the thud below.
"Impressive." I laughed at him, and I walked off the edge of the building towards him. He looked down at me sending a cocky smirk but it fell as he heard what I whispered in his ear "but I think I would of finished her faster." Before taking a glance at Clary down below I walked away, jumping back over the rooftops...
Clary's PoV.
I looked at Alec's horrified expression on his face once I told him everything that's that happened. He looks so heartbroken. I'm so lucky to be alive after that fight thanks to Simon getting me back in time."Alissa and Jace are the Owl's?" Izzy's jaw dropped as she glanced at Alec who was still trying process the information. "How is that even possible..."
"This whole time..." Alec voice cracked, Izzy's eyes softened and she placed a hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't their mental health. They were possessed. Alissa... I thought she was just having nightmares."
"They were possessed by a powerful Greater Demon who gave them the ability to turn mundanes into demonic killers." Magnus sighed, my eyes started to water as I realised what the two most important people in my life have been doing to mundanes against their own will.
"We've defeated Greater Demons before. We'll do it again and free them both." Alec said, his voice strong as he tried not to have a mental breakdown.
"This is not just some Greater Demon." Magnus explained as we all looked at him confused. "Clary was able to draw an image of the beast. It matches this image from the Silent City archives. The demon is Lilith. Queen of Edom. Adam's first wife."
"Adam, as in Garden of Eden Adam?" Izzy asked slightly shocked.
"The one and only." Magnus sighed.
"So what does that mean?" Simon asked, looking down at the two drawings
"She's the mother of all demons. She's more powerful than anything we've encountered. But, out of all people, why Jace and Alissa? Because of their pure angel blood?" Alec stressed out, a pain of guilt flew though me as I knew exactly why this happened to them.
