“Huuuh, huh,,,” You inhaled sharply.
When freaking out, identify things. Your leggings were black. The lights were bright. Hospital sheet was pristine white. Saline full bags are clear. In and out, breathe (Y/n). In and out. Breathing isn’t that-that hard.
Okay umm,, come on, identify more things. Get stable. Come on. Your eyes were darting back and forth around the room. The last thing your eyes settled on was your father’s face. Shit.
“O-oh my god, you’re awake. Thank god.” he said.
You could barely comprehend anything. Your mind was racing a mile a minute, it was all too much. You put your hands on your head and curled up.
“It’s..too..much!” your voice rose as you spoke.
It felt like burning hot lava pouring in your brain. It hurt, it hurts now. You let out a scream. Come on. Come on! Clear your thoughts...that’s it..little by little. Your body began to unclench, your muscles loosened, your eyes opening. Dad.
“I-I’m okay. I’m okay. I’m okay.” You said out loud, to reassure your dad and whoever else was in the room. And to also assure yourself that the pain was gone.
“Jesus, thank god. It’s times like this I wish Bruce were here..he’s much better at these things than I ever was.” Your dad mumbled pacing the room and looking at monitors.
The 4 w’s and h. What? You, in a hospital bed. Where? The medbay of the avengers compound. When? You had no idea, your phone was in your room still. Why? You fainted before having a “vision” or something. How? You had no idea.
You looked around the room. Of course Steve was here, he looked just as worried as your dad had been. At least you were still in your pajamas.
You sighed and pushed your (h/l) (h/c) out of your face. God, this was so confusing. How long had it even been? It had to be at least the next day, longer even.
You stood up, which was bad idea. The pain had subsided but was still barely there, like a phantom. You had to get out of there, the lights were terrible and all you wanted was a comfortable bed, like the one you owned.
No one was looking. Time to make a sprint for the door. 3..2..1..and..NOW! Your feet moved fast, and with no shoes on no one could hear the light pat of your feet as the hit the simplistic tile flooring.
Steve was the first to notice that you had left the room, and before he could catch you all he saw was a blur of your figure round the corner of the doorway. He walked into the hallway and prepared himself to chase you, but you were already on the elevator headed to your floor. He sighed before walking back into the medbay and telling Tony.

Sleep. Comfortable sleep. Why is that hard for the body to comprehend. You loved your bed, but now it did nothing to help rest your body or mind.
What even happened in the workshop. Your vision blurred and then what? Your mind played over a scene from earlier that night. The mind. It’s a gold mine of ideas and intriguing thoughts, yet it couldn’t identify whatever the hell that was.
Library. Books, books have information. Your phone, on the charger still. You had to stop doing that before you fry its battery.
The time..1 pm, there was plenty of time left in today. You couldn’t go out like this though. Just some jeans and running a brush through your hair would do the trick.
It wasn’t like you didn’t have access to almost all information in the world, but it’s nice for a change in scene. And most libraries anywhere had endless amounts of information.
