A few weeks later...approaching the end of July, 2015.

As far fetched as it sounds, you had been doing more research about telepathy. In order to achieve it, you have to have a clear mind, and be able to easily focus. So being able to do that is your goal, and you were pretty much a pro at it now. Lots of things came naturally to you. As a Stark, you guess it was just in your genes.

In order to properly focus you had to block out major senses, ie hearing and sight. When you block out senses it makes all of the other ones stronger. For example: lots of blind people have very keen hearing since they can’t see.

So, to block out sight: blackout goggles. But modified of course, to be extra strength. And, to block out any noises: noise cancelling headphones, but extra strength.

To get started, you ordered the stuff you needed offline, (courtesy of your dad’s credit card). Things you bought were: regular headphones, noise cancelling headphones, noise cancelling earbuds, a pitch black sleep/eye mask, blind goggles, and blackout goggles. You also gathered some things you had lying around that could aid your project. You also got permission from your dad to use anything from his workshops junk drawer/pile.

It took a week or so to get everything you had ordered, but you didn’t mind waiting. You cleaned off your desk and pulled out some tools, and you had Wednesday pull up the schematics for the headphones and goggles. Time to get to work.

You had to take the regular headphones, and remove the speakers by cutting the two wires and then removing the foam and padding to use later. Then you had to carefully remove all of the padding from the noise cancelling headphones. A lot of things suggested you use the headband of the regular headphones as the base, but since you had materials of your own from the workshop you just made your own.

Then you also made your own casings for all of the foam and padding, because why not, you had the materials anyway. After constructing those pieces, which took a little over an hour, you had to fully assemble everything. You also disassembled the noise cancelling earbuds too.

Next, you had sewn together all of the foam and padding from each pair of headphones. You modified the wiring from the earbuds and implemented it within the padding, and then used a special kind of welding tool to attach the wiring and padding onto the casings you made.

The blackout goggles weren’t particularly hard to get done. You took the glass from the blind goggles and blackout goggles you bought, and welded them together. You then attached the thick glass onto the rim of the goggles. You didn’t use the night mask like you planned to, because well...it was cute and you wanted to keep it to use for yourself.

Before running a test trial, you went to talk to Wanda, she was a master at these things after all. And she could help you do a test run. You grabbed a little notepad and your favorite pen and went to knock on Wanda’s door.

“It’s open.” she said before you peeked in her room.

“Oh uh, hey Wanda. I was wondering if you could help me with something? I’m assuming you’ve been able to hear my loud physics and pseudoscience filled thoughts.” you said as you walked in her room and lightly shut the door behind you.

“Of course, I’ve heard them for the past few weeks ever since you passed out. You think very loud, you should vwork on that.” her Sokovian accent showed through as she spoke.

“Well, I wanted to practice telepathy or-or something of that sort. I just needed a buddy to work with. And I was wondering if you would look into my mind. And tell me what you see? I want to know why I felt the way I did.” you fidgeted with your hands.
