*Flash back*

You and Cody had had just a big fight. Too much yelling over the most stupid things. You realize it just a little bit after how dumb your fight was.

Cody has left your house with slamming the door shut just few seconds ago and you already feel so guilty about all the things you said, that you didn't mean.

You want to make it right, so you run after him.
You see him just going to open his car door.
"Cody, wait!" You exclaimed to him.

He acts like he didn't hear you and opens the door.
You grab his arm before he could sit inside.
"Please..."

"It's over." He says. The words hurt you bad. You felt like your heart was going to be ripped out of your chest.
Tears were streaming down your face as you tightened your grip around his arm.

"Cody, don't leave me like this.. don't go..." You beg. "We can make this right. I didn't mean what I said to you."

He sighs and turns around to look at you. You could see sadness and anger in his eyes as he stared right into yours.
"A) I can leave you like this and B) Then what do you mean?" He asks.

"I– I mean one thing the most..." You say. You aren't sure can you say those three words and is this even a good moment, but this might be the last moment when you can say them. You've been dating just like a little over month now, but you've never said those words to each other, yet. "I... I love you."

Cody freezed. A long silence crept over you.
Felt like he was never going to say anything to that.
"Well, that's too bad." He says turning around and sitting into the car.

He started the car and drove away, leaving shocked you behind.
You felt so broken, that you could fall apart any moment now.
You quickly run back inside, before collapsing on the ground.

*Flash back ends*

It's been a week since you and Cody broke up.
Though you two had dated just two months, he had become very important to you.
So, dealing with the break up wasn't so easy for you.

You couldn't go to work this whole week. You've been eating ice cream and watching Netflix. Although eating ice cream is kinda cliché, it helps you. It's just... You miss him so much. You miss the nights when you just cuddled on the couch or bed at night. When you went to a beach to have fun together...

Today had been the same.
You thought back to those days when you two were happy. All the kisses... You even remember your first time with him, well, first time ever. (If you don't get it, I mean fondue 😉)

For about the 100th time you started to cry. You just feel so lost. You're not good at handling break ups. You wish you could take all the bad things you said back and continue your life with him.

You've tried to text him but he had left you on read. You hate it. You want to even talk this through like adults, but you have given up. If he doesn't want to talk to you that's fine. It doesn't make this easier to you, though.

Your best friend has been very worried about you. She said that if you don't go to work this whole week she'll personally come here and drag you out of your house. You just laughed and told her that she doesn't need to do that.
Well, you didn't go to work this whole week...

Suddenly there's a knock at the front door.
You roll your eyes, because you assume it's your best friend.
You get up from the very comfortable couch and go to open the door.

"Seriously, I'm fi—" you start, but cut off yourself as you don't see your best friend, but instead Cody was standing there, hands in his jeans' pockets.
He looked like he had just cried, like you.

You stare at each other for a moment in a complete silence.
Finally you managed to open your mouth and said, "What are you doing here?" You cross your arms over your chest. Your heart was beating faster against your ribcage.

"I– uhh... Can I come in?" He asks, looking down at his shoes. You hesitate for a moment before you step back, letting him in.
"Thank you." He said a little weakly, which surprised you.

"You okay?" You ask as you close the front door behind him. He looks like he's about to have a meltdown.
"Oh God, come here." You grab his hand and lead him towards your room.

You sit on your bed, legs criss-crossed. He follows your example, before he bursts into tears. You're very confused, but you wrap your arms around him anyways.

"M– my mom... S– she was in an accident. Car accident..." He told you between sobs.
Suddenly everything made sense and you tightened your arms around him.

You had met his mother, who is very kind and generous. She told you that Cody has never been so happy than when he is with you.
You know that she's very important to Cody. Especially since 2014 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She won the battle and she's been a huge supporter to Cody.

"I'm so sorry, Cody. Is she okay?" You ask. You rarely see this side of Cody. He's always so happy and positive.
He just looks so lost and heartbroken. You really hope his mother is alright.

"I– I don't know. She's in coma." He replies.
You stroke his already messy hair soothingly.
You're not exactly sure what you should say now.

"She's a cancer survivor. She'll survive this, too. Don't worry. I'm here." You say quietly
"Thank you for not being mad... Listen, I'm so sorry. I can't live without you..." He says and tightens his arms around you.

You feel his lips against your cheek, lingering there for a while.
"I love you, too." He whispered in to your ear.
You spun around quickly and crashed your lips on his. He immediately kissed you back.

You fall on the bed on your back and he on top of you.
The kiss turned to passionate, heated and it was full of lust.
But before it went too far, you broke the kiss and pushed him off of you.

"We need to go to the hospital. You probably want to be there when she wakes up." You say. He groans but nods.

"If she wakes up." He says.
"She will!"

You both went to the hospital where Cody's brother Joshua and father were already.

Week later Cody's mother woke up and two weeks later she was able to leave the hospital. Two of her rib bones were broken and her other collarbone, too. But she survived for everyone's relief.

And what comes to you and Cody. You two are back together. No more dumb fights, only love and care. Of course you had some bad times but you both found always forgiveness.
