"Step away from each other."

I stared at the badge on her shirt. Ability Control Association. My heart dropped as Harry let go of my hand and we each took a step to the side.

"Stand still," she commanded, pulling out a scanner. I shut my eyes tightly as she scanned me first. After a few seconds she said "We can do this the easy way or the hard way."

I shook my head, yet I put my hands in the air. "Louis," Harry whispered.

"Don't fight, Harry," I whispered back. "We can't get away from this." I opened my eyes. "Don't fight."

"I'm not losing you." He grabbed my arm, then we were both invisible. "Run."

He pulled me along and ran down the side walk. We literally ran until we got to my house before opening the door and slamming it shut before locking it. We became visible again and Harry pulled me tightly to his chest.

"They probably know our names, Harry. We don't know what that scan told them. They might-"

"What happened?" Mom asked as she came into the entry way. "Did you-"

"They have scanners and they scanned us and-" I started to stammer out until Harry kissed the side of my head.

"They knew we had abilities, but we're not sure what else it told them," Harry explain much more calmly.

Three loud thumps sounded from behind Harry and I. I jumped and put my head over my mouth, then pulled Harry away from the door. I pulled him to the hallway that lead to my room and saw Liam poking hid head out of his room.

"What's going on?" He asked quietly when we got next to him.

"They scanned us," I whispered. "They know we have abilities and-"

"Fuck, fuck." Liam started to pace the room. "That's not good."

"I don't give you permission-!" I heard Dad start to yell. Loud footsteps started to thump down the hall.

Harry grabbed my hand and Liam's wrist before turning us all invisible. We ducked down in a corner they were unlikely to walk in and I leaned into Harry, closing my eyes. Liam's door opened and someone walked in, one of the scanners out. They looked around the room then stepped back out. "Clear."

I let out a small breath of relief as they kept calling clear. Harry squeezed my hands as they called for a search party around the area. Then they left and Harry made us all visible again.

"What are we gonna do? We can't stay here." I looked at Liam. "What-"

"Boys?" Mom called quietly. Liam stood up and walked to the door and opened it. "Thank God."

"What are we gonna do?" Liam repeated to Mom.

"I'm calling a friend. They'll know how to keep you safe." She looked at Harry and I in the corner. "Harry's call your parents and let me talk to them."

Harry didn't argue and pulled out his phone. He pressed it to his ear and closed his eyes. "Hey, Mom. I... Yeah, about that. Louis' mom wants to talk to you about it. I'm okay. Yeah, I'm okay."

He handed her the phone and put his head on my shoulder. "Louis, I'm terrified right now."

"I am too. This got intense, fast." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. "We're gonna be okay."

I took another deep breath and stood up, pulling Harry up afterwards. We stepped into the hallway and walked to the living room. My mom hung up Harry's phone and handed it back. "You're going with them."

"You're not coming?" I asked worriedly. "Why aren't you coming?"

"You'll have Liam -"

"I want you guys too. You can't let us leave."

"I know, love, but you'll be safer this way, okay?" My mom assured me while hugging me. I shook my head while holding onto her tightly.

"I don't want to leave." Don't make me leave.

"They're here," my dad called.

"Mom-" I shook my head as I felt Liam grab my arm. "No! Mom!"

"Louis, come on," Liam begged quietly. "I'll keep you and Harry safe, okay?"

I reluctantly let go of our mom and wiped my face. Liam let go of my arm and Harry grabbed my hand. We walked to the front door and out to a black car.

I looked at our parents again before getting in the car. "You'll be okay, Lou," my mom called softly.

I got in and closed the door, squeezing my eyes shut. Harry wrapped his leg around mine and leaned his head on my shoulder. I took a deep breath and opened them, seeing we were going impossibly fast. Harry was watching out my window as well, then he slowly turned to me.

"Where are we going?" He asked me quietly.

"I have no idea," I whispered back.

One of the two men in front looked back at us. "We're taking you to a spot the government can't get to. You're safe now."

"What are your guys' names?" Liam asked, acting much braver than I felt.

"I'm Zayn, and this is Niall," the driver introduced. "We're in charge of finding you guys and bringing you to a safe location until you are able to control your abilities, or the huge threat toward a you guys is over."

"So, you guys have abilities too," Liam said slowly. I was starting to question what Liam was doing.

"We do," Liam answered. "We know you're terrified right now, but our whole job is to keep you guys safe. Just trust us and relax."

I was going to be scared no matter what. I didn't have my parents, I didn't know where we were going. For all I knew this was just a trap.

Mom wouldn't have let us leave is it wasn't safe, Liam assured me telepathically.

What if she does think it's safe and it's not? I don't know who to trust, Li.

Then trust me, and I'll figure out who to trust, okay? I won't let you get hurt. Harry either.

I squeezed Harry's hand and took a deep breath. Harry rested his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes. I wrapped my other arm around him and held him tightly.

"It's going to be a few hours until we get there," Zayn informed us. "If I were you, I'd get some rest."

I looked at Liam and he nodded at me. Get some rest. I'll stay awake.

I didn't argue with him and slid down in my seat, getting comfortable with Harry. I closed my eyes and hoped that this was all going to work out in the end. I was the only one out of the three who could actually hurt someone with my ability, yet I was probably the weakest one here.

You're not weak. You're unsure of yourself. I'll keep us safe until you can help, alright? You got this just as much as I do, Lou.

I nodded wordlessly, my eyes starting to get heavy. I relaxed against Harry and let my mind slowly shut off, probably thanks to Liam. Harry mumbled good night before we both fell asleep.
