Diana found herself with nothing to do as she roamed the library reading from a book that she couldn't understand. She thought that having the mansion to herself was a good thing, but it slowly turned into boredom then torture then paranoia

She wanted to occupy herself with something constructive while the family was gone for at least 8 hours. She couldn't hang out with Yoongi, Taehyung or Jungkook because that wouldn't be constructive and those guys are booked and busy.

But then she tbought of something, the reason she couldn't understand the book properly is because it's written in Hangul and she can't read nor can she write Hangul properly. She knows how to read certain words but if she doesn't see it for a long time then she forgets what it looks like.

She also needed to learn how to cook korean food properly because google is a scam, the food barely had any kind of seasoning and being the Caribbean girl that she is, she ain't messing with that. And the other day her phone nearly fell in a pot of boiling water.

But then again, who is she learning to cook for? It's mainly the children, she doesn't have to worry about Namjoon because they already have a fixed deal. But Diana's a nanny, she's not supposed to be cooking, Hwasa is home a lot lately she why can't she cook for her own kids? Why doesn't her husband tell her anything about it?

The way they operated together in this marriage made it seem like they're not married if anything Diana has had more interactions with Namjoon than his own wife. She didn't want to compare them but it was kind of like the elephant in the room.

Those two clearly had no genuine feelings towards each other so what's the point of this union? If she only knew..

Namjoon walked into the mansion and set his briefcase on the glass table. He sat down on the couch and took off his jacket. He opened his briefcase and pulled a manila folder with documents and his laptop even though he was tired and he just came from work, he was going to work again.

He began planning out his designs for his collaboration with an important company. His eyes began to feel droopy and he mind told him that he wanted coffee but his body needed rest.

Namjoon felt like his brain was shutting but he couldn't stop, he needed to at least design the contact list software for the phone, he's a way behind time and the other company would be here in 3 months time.

Diana walked out of the library and smiled when she saw namjoon siting on the couch, she worked over to him.

"Mr Kim, can I ask you something?" Diana asked and carefully sat next to him. Namjoon slowing teared his eyes away from his laptop screen to look into the hopeful chocolate eyes of his nanny.

"oh..." Diana said nervously when she made eye contact with namjoon and saw the state of his face. He had sinks under his eyes, his mouth was partially open as he was breathing heavily and he was sweaty just from typing codes.

"do you need something?" Diana asked in concern as her hands touched his thighs when she leaned in to scan his face.

by her simple action, namjoon tensed and he felt as if he was fully awake, he's never felt this alive just by a simple touch which caused his heart to gallop.

"Mr Kim are you alright? You look pale" Diana asked, completely forgetting about she initially wanted to ask him about.

Namjoon became paler if possible, he started to feel sick, his stomach was doing these as he looked at Diana who was genuinely concerned about him with her hand still on his thigh.

He didn't know what it was but he sure as hell never felt this type of sickness before.

"oh dear, you're cold sweating" Diana said and took her thumb to wipe the sweat that was trickling down his temple. Namjoon's mouth went dry and he felt even more sick, why did he feel like this so easily with Diana?

"Mr Kim you look terribly sick" Diana commented while looking at his chapped lips. She was confused. Ever since she sat next to him, he looked sicker by the minute. She took her hand off his thigh and saved the file on his laptop before shutting it down.

Diana got up from the couch and sighed deeply before offering her hand for him to take. Namjoon took it almost immediately which caused Diana to cock her eyebrows.

As soon as namjoon's hand touched hers, he felt goosebumps.

It felt like cold shockwaves.

Diana walked up to his room while he weakly trailed behind, not letting go of her hand. They reached his room and she was unsure of what to do. She turned to face him and the moment she proceeded to retract her hands from his, namjoon tighten his grip which caused her to stare at him confusingly and he stared at the way his fingers were intertwined with hers, confused by his own actions.

Namjoon had to admit he loved the sight of their fingers being intertwined. Her blue painted nails complimented her skin colour as her fingers rested against his. Something about the colours of their fingers made namjoon feel bubbly inside, the contrast of their finger length and skin tones made him satisfied. Their fingers moulded perfectly which caused them both To be confused for various Reasons.

He would go on to say that their fingers were made for each other, but he stopped himself and looked up to meet a wide-eyed Diana. "suh-sorry" he apologized before pulling his hands away and laying on his bed.

The bubbly feeling left his body and he felt colder. "can you cover me?" he asked, and Diana did so but namjoon still wasn't warm.

He's a big baby

"Diana" namjoon called out to her before she left the room. She looked back at him and namjoon sighed before saying words that he thought had never say to anyone, in such a desperate way

"can you stay and hold my hand?"
