It really sucked not having legs.  Yeah, yeah, 'but you have a tail and can swim underwat-', shut up, shut up, shut up.  Gusion hated it, really.  He didn't always hate it, no, he mainly started hating it when he met Alucard.  Hell, could you really even blame Gusion for swimming over to the shallows that night to interact with Alucard?  One meeting led to the next, and soon enough it was daily, and then, of course, came the inevitable question--why don't you ever come out of the water?  In Gusion's opinion, his answer to that question went over fairly well with Alucard, all things considered, of course.  Telling a human that you weren't a human always came as a shocker to them.

But, that's not the point of the story.  No, this was about something else, not about what had already passed.  Currently, Gusion was sitting down on some conveniently eroded rocks, tail still underwater while his upper torso remained above it, arms crossed in annoyance as he listen to Alucard ramble about his friend.  Granger this, Granger that.  Granger has such a good aim, Granger can shoot from so far away.  Granger, Granger, Granger--dammit!  Seriously, Gusion wanted to just dive into the damn water and swim away so he wouldn't have to hear word about this Granger that Alucard seemed to be so obsessed with.

"...and, yet, he hit the center.  Again.  Five times in a row.  I mean, nobody can be that damn accurate.  Yet somehow Granger managed it, and he won't tell me--"

"Would you shut up about Granger already?"  Gusion huffed, shooting a glare at the blonde that sat on the edge of the pier.

Alucard paused, a tad bit confused on why he was suddenly halted in his words.  But, then, realization dawned on him and--a smirk fell upon his lips.  "I don't know what you mean.  All I'm doing is talking about another guy."  He said oh-so-innocently, hiding the smirk lest Gusion see it in the moonlight.

"It's exactly that!  That's literally all you're doing!  Ranting about someone else and if..  if you want to talk about him so much go talk to him yourself instead of wasting my time here!"  Gusion huffed, glare still as prominent as ever.  Unbeknownst to him, though, was the fact Alucard was receiving quite the opposite effect that Gusion intended.  Really, Alucard was thinking of how utterly adorable Gusion looked with his arms crossed and glaring at him.  He honestly wouldn't mind pushing the subject a bit more just to make Gusion more jealous, but at the same time didn't want the brunette to swim off on him.  But, the temptations...

"Y'know, Granger wouldn't be getting mad righ--"

"Go tell Granger that yourself since he wouldn't be getting mad."  Gusion cut him off before announcing, "I'm leaving.  Go enjoy Grang--"

Alucard cut him off before he could actually leave.  "Gusion, I'm kidding!"  And, of course, he couldn't help but chuckle a little at the other's outburst of jealousy.  "You're adorable when you're jealous, you know that?"

"Bullshit!  I'm not jealous!"  Gusion shot back, cheeks flushing.  Poseidon, he was jealous, wasn't he?  Could you really blame him, though?  With Alucard just ranting on and on about his so-called best friend Granger, what else could he be?  Scared, maybe.  Here this new guy comes walking around in his two legs and Alucard starts gushing on and on about him to Gusion, who only meets the blonde at night so he doesn't get caught and put in some damn aquarium or whatever the living hell they'd do to him.  Honestly, he was at a disadvantage to anyone Alucard would meet because he didn't have legs, he couldn't just walk around and go on dates whenever or wherever.  He was just.. stuck in the ocean.  Never had the ocean seemed to confining to him before.  It was just so unfair.  He hated it.

Alucard, seeming to sense the mood change in Gusion, dropped the joke.  "Hey, c'mere."  He said, gesturing for Gusion to come over to the edge of the pier where he was lying down on, and he rolled over as he waited for Gusion's arrival.

There was a small pause before Gusion actually did, disappearing from his little sitting spot before resurfacing at the edge of the pier, bringing up his arms as placing them ontop of the wooden structure, head resting ontop of it.  "What?"  Gusion dejectedly asked.

"What's wrong?"  Alucard questioned, voice soft.

A sigh left Gusion's lips.  "It's just..  unfair.  I'm stuck with only seeing you here, confined to the ocean.  I can't see you during the day, can't be with you until you come here to meet me."  It was a small vent, a condensed version of what'd went on through his head.  He didn't feel like saying it all.

"Hey,"  Alucard started, bringing up a hand to cup Gusion's cheek.  "You know I only love you.  I wouldn't trade you for anyone else in the world, Gus."

The flush on Gusion's face returned, the moonlight showing the pink dusting his cheeks.  "I know, I know, but I still can't help-"  The blush on his cheeks deepened as Alucard shut down his ramble before it got too far by kissing him.  Gusion returned it, kissing him back.  "Jerk."  He grumbled once Alucard pulled away, glaring at the blonde without any spite to back in.  Alucard only laughed, a grin, a beautiful damn grin that Gusion loved so much and couldn't help but grin back at, on his face.  Again, Alucard kissed him, and Gusion didn't call him a jerk when it was finished this time.

"I love you, Gusion."

"I love you too, Alucard."
