Miles and miles between us lie
Why do you have to be so far away?
Opposite ends of this earth,
me here, you there
Here I lie in bed tonight,
wishing I could catch a flight
closing this distance between us
before the next lonely night appear
Every night I watch the moon and stars, wondering if you're thinking about me too,
Would you lie down next to me,
listening to the quiet of the night
Just you and me,
getting lost in the night
Why do you have to be so far away?
Why does this ocean between us
have to be so wide?
What I'd do just to have you near
Will we ever beat this distance between us?
Will we ever get to be together?
I hate every mile between us.
Though this poem might be cliché
I dont know how else to tell you
just how much I really miss you
and want to be with you.
