034: Marshal's Suspicion
(Edited)

(TN: I don't think I can release every day, but since the last chapter was so plot heavy and had a cliff hanger I decided that I wanted to release another one as soon as possible. :) )

Surrounding the Sherman Forest, the Vanguard Battalion of the Hydra Legion had landed on the ground in accordance with the instructions of General Drew. This Vanguard unit is made up of the thousands of snake-shaped mechs. The unit is currently stationed on the outskirts of the Sherman Forest, ready to go at the drop of a hat.

Just then, far up in the sky, a gigantic black dragon abruptly crossed overhead. The gigantic black dragon hovered over the forest for a few seconds, almost as if it was looking for its prey, and then without warning —plunged straight into the interior of the forest!

The soldiers who had just been waiting on standby were shocked beyond words!

"What was that just now?!"

"I didn't see that wrong, right? Wasn't that definitely the S-Class Black Dragon mech?"

"You've got to be kidding me! Isn't Black Dragon the Marshal's mech? How come it's here?"

The Vanguard Battalions internal communication channel was bombarded with the astonished chatter of the soldiers.

Apart from a select few senior commanding officers on the command ship of the Hydra Legion, others were not aware that Marshal Rosen had tagged along to the Po Military Star along with the Hydra Legion, plus he had also brought the legendary S-Class mech with unrivaled firepower. The Black Dragon had disappeared for a full 19 years. Now, unexpectedly that formidable mech of the legends had just now suddenly appeared over their heads. The soldiers in the Vanguard Battalion were somewhat at a loss and felt rather helpless.

Luckily, the command headquarters channel quickly rung out with the calm and dignified voice of the battalion's general, General Drew: "The Vanguard Battalion is on standby! Without my command, not one person is to step out of formation!"

Everyone on standby had to obey the command of the general and continue to wait in their current position.

Inside of the Sherman Forest.

Just when Caesar and Brian had arrived at the place where Suzaku was hidden, an immense black shadow suddenly appeared over their heads. Black Dragon dived down directly into the open space and quickly shifted into a humanoid form after it was grounded. A pair of legs leveled themselves out as they adjusted to the ground.

Merely hearing that "bang", the deafening sound of the mech landing was loud enough to burst eardrums. Because of the Black Dragon's harsh descent, it caused the surrounding area to be covered in a massive cloud of dust.

Caesar and Brian gave a complicated glance to each other.

Despite the two of them rushing over as fast as they could, they still couldn't beat the speed of Black Dragon.

The now humanoid Black Dragon, in order to land in this open space, took the initiative upon itself to reduce its size by one-tenth. The black body and golden eyes of its humanoid form simply stood quietly in place. Even if it did not move an inch, it still gave people a vast sense of oppression.

— Black Dragon gave a cold, suffocating sense of fear.

As the one with the strongest air combat capabilities between all of the S-Class mechs, Black Dragon had been lying dormant for a full 19 years, but now that it has been awakened by its master, it still possesses the same stunning, battle-hardened aura that it had in the past.
