Back in the fourth grade, when I wasn't a fangirl, my teacher had a "I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar!" board and put up pictures of famous woman on the board. J.K Rowling was on it and we had a lesson devoted to her.
~Flashback~
Ms.Wilson-Hunter: J.K Rowling had a very active imagination. I remember getting the books for my daughter and I. We would discuss the book. *a few minutes later* You see, Catholics wanted to ban Harry Potter books because they had evil in them.
Aliza: *raises hand* How many books did you read?
Ms Wilson-Hunter: I read the whole series.
*half of the class gasps in awe*
Ms.Wilson-Hunter: So Voldemort represented....?
Me: *raises hand*
Ms. Wilson-Hunter: Nikole?
Me: He represented evil.
Ms.Wilson-Hunter: Correct!
Me in my mind: How did I know that?

You see, I also made my ELA teacher this year a Potterhead. My friend Stacy and I have persuaded him to read the books!
