Alfred looked back at Arthur and began sobbing.
"I- I trust you.."
Arthur hugged Alfred tightly.
"I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this. I hate it. I hate that you're in pain. I don't want you to be. I want you to be happy."
Alfred hugged him back.
"I- I love you.."
"And I love you, Alfred."
The two sat in a comfortable silence before Alfred's phone went off.
Arthur felt him tense up.
"Alfie, love, let me see it."
Alfred unlocked his phone and handed it to him. Arthur went straight to his messages and saw that this time it was China who messaged Alfred.
Ching Chong
Oi, you stupid American! How dare you send people after my poor Ivan! I will be sending my kids after you! Fat ass!
Arthur's eyes narrowed.
"Looks like someone else wants an ass beating too."
Alfred cuddled up closer to Arthur.
"Can we leave this uncomfortable bathroom floor please?"
"Yes, love. We can."
Arthur helped Alfred stand and guided him into his room. They lay down on the bed and look into each other's eyes.
"Arthur?"
"Yes love?"
"Who messaged me?"
"...It was Ching Chong."
Alfred smiled and laughed a bit. Arthur laughed with him.
"What did he want?"
"Ehhh, it's best you don't worry about it, I don't want you to be upset again."
"Oh." Alfred looked down sadly.
"So he was being mean, wasn't he?"
Arthur held him closer.
"It'll be okay, love. Trust me. I'll take care of it."
"Okay."
Arthur ran his fingers through Alfred's hair.
"Alfie? Do you mind if I sit up so I can message a few people?"
"I don't mind."
Arthur sat up and Alfred scooted closer to him and hugged his waist. Arthur smiled and patted his head before taking out his phone.
