Chapter 17

Hayes's pov

I was woken up by sky jumping on Kylie. I know, I didn't feel it, but if Kylie gets hurt there will be hell to pay. "SKY, STOP YOU'LL HURT HER" I yelled. Kylie woke up and saw that sky was about to cry so she held her in her arms. "why were you yelling" Kylie asked. "I-I'm sorry, I just didn't want her to hurt you" I said. "She couldn't hurt me, you know that" she said. "I know, I'm sorry sky" I said rubbing her back. "its ok hayesie, lets go jump on the trampoline" she said. We groan but do it.

*on the trampoline* Kylie's pov

"Hey hayesie, can you do this" sky asked and did a front flip then came back up. "uh, I can try" he said and tried but landed on his back. "haha" I laughed and came over to him and hovered over him. "you o-okay" I said in between laughs. "Oh come here" he said and pulled me down. I kissed his cheek and came back up along with him. "let me try" i said. I did it just like sky.

"Wow" she said. "can you do this" I asked and did a back hand spring. "maybe" she said and tried it. she tried but she failed. "kylie, can you help me this time" she asked. I nodded and helped hold her. when I was about to let go of her, hayes put his hands on my hips. "okay, there you go" I said to sky and let go."hayes what are you doing" I asked.

He just kissed my cheek. "your phones ringing" he said. "K" I said and walked to a quiet corner with my phone. it was Gavin, I hope he's okay.

G. hey Kylie, is hayes there

K. yeah, you need him

G. Yeah

K. k, here he is

"Hayes, phone" I said. "um ok" he said and grabbed my phone.

H. hello

G. hey hayes, this is Gavin. I couldn't tell Kylie this because it a surprise to her. me, Tiffany, Kylie and the twins are going to Madison, WS for the week and I know kylie isn't going to want to leave you, so I was wondering if you would like to go. kylie doesn't even know we're going, so you can't bring it up.

H. I would love to, let me go ask my mom, when are we leaving.

G. well we're leaving tonight but you'll have to come tomorrow

H. ok, let me go ask my mom

G. ok son

Hayes's pov

"Mom" i yelled. "yeah, honey" she said. "can I go on a trip with Tiffany and them tomorrow" I asked. "hayes, they probably want some time alone" she said. "Gavin called and asked if I could go" I said. "(sigh) ok"she said. "thank you, don't tell Kylie, its a surprised" I said. "Okay" she said and shook her head.

*in the call*

H. hey, she said I could go

G. great, would you send Kylie home, she needs to pack

H. oh yeah sure

G. ok thanks bye

And I hung up.I went back out to Kylie and she was on the trampoline with sky. I got on and put my arms around kylie from behind. "ooh ohh ooh" sky said. "haha, one day, your gonna find some that you'll love as much as I love hayes" Kylie said. "mm mm that's not possible" i said. "haha" sky said. "what" I asked. "haha you spit on her" she said and pointed to Kylie. I looked her and licked it off. "ewww" they said.

"HAYES!" Kylie said. "What babe" I said. "your disgusting" she said. I grabbed her face and gave her a FRENCH KISS. "HAYES GRIER! what the hell" she yelled. "language, woman" I said. "what did he do" sky asked. "um nothing" she said. "I have her a FRENCH KISS!" I said. "whats that" she asked. "nothing" Kylie said. "this" I said and tried to do it again but she moved.

"HAYES! STOP DOING THAT" Kylie yelled. "Okay, okay" I said and grabbed her waist and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "What did Gavin need" she asked. "uh nothing" I said. She got out of my grip. "whats wrong" I asked coming over to her. "nothing, whats wrong with you" she said. "nothing, lets go back in" I said. "looks like sky already did" she said. we laughed and went in.

"Oh, I just remembered, Gavin wanted you home" I said. "ok, bye baby" she said and kissed me goodbye. "Bye love you" I said. "love U 2" she said and left. I watched her go up her balcony.

She got up to her room and then went to the living room.

Kylie's pov

I got to the family room and saw Gavin on the couch. only Gavin. why? "hey Gavin, did you need me" I asked. "uh yeah honey, pack your bags, we're going to the cabin tonight" he said.

"b-but what about hayes" I said. ''listen, I got to tell you something. I know about you staying at hayes's house and let me tell you something, that was cold, but this time you gotta come because I'm gonna ask your mom there" he said. "look, I didn't want to lie, but I just got hayes, I couldn't leave him. and I guess I have that to look forward to" I said and put on a half fake/half real smile.

"Great, you go pack and change and we can go walking" he said. I nodded and went to pack and then changed. I changed and then we went walking. I kept my head down the whole time.

"(sigh) kylie, do I need to call hayes" he asked. "(sniff) no" I said. he pulled his phone out and texted hayes. pretty soon, I heard somebody running after me. I turned around and hayes wrapped his arms around me. "whats wrong" he asked Gavin. "she doesn't want to leave you" he said.

"I'm sorry babe, you'll have fun, because now, Gavin's gonna be there" he said. "I know but your gonna be here while I'm there" I said. "listen to me Kylie, I know its gonna be hard without me but your gonna make it better for me if you go" he said. "ok" I said. He kissed my cheek and held my hand. "thank you hayes" Gavin said. "thank you for calling me" he said.

RING RING RING! That was Gavin's phone. he answered it and then hung up. "Tiff needs me back home but you guys can keep walking" Gavin said. "okay" I said. Hayes put his arm around my waist. "why were you crying" he asked. "because I didn't want to leave you and I love you" I said. he stopped me and turned to face me. he grabbed my waist and kissed me. I put my arms around his neck.

We pulled apart and looked into each others eyes. "I love you too" he said. "I have to go in a little bit" I said. 'look, its gonna be fine" he said. " i know" I said. "come on" he said.

*at Kylie's house* (in her room)

"Bye babe" I said and hugged him. "bye baby girl" he said. "I love you'' I said. "I love you more" he said and we kissed. "I'm sure you do" I said. "haha, bye" he said. "bye" I said. he went over to the little rope and climbed to his balcony from mine. "kylie, we got to go" my mom called. "(Sniff) coming" I said. I waved to hayes and he put his phone up. I nodded and grabbed my stuff and left.

"I'm ready" I said. "ok, go put you stuf in the car and come back for the twins" Gavin said. "(sigh) ok" I said. I put my stuff in the car and I helped the twins get their stuff and get in the car. I texted hayes.

K. we're about to go to the airport

H. ok babe, it's going to be fine

K. I know, I'm going to miss you

H. I'm going to miss you too. I love you

K. I love you too

We got to the airport and boarded the plane. we had the plane with 3 seat rows. I sat with the twins on either side of me. the plane started to move and I put my headphones on.

'roller coaster' by Luke Bryan came on.

"She had a cross around around her neck and a flower in her hand that I picked from the side if Thomas drive on our way to the sand" I sang in my head. this is hayes's favorite country song. I miss him so much, but I know that i'll be fine
