"So now that you have learned the snorkeling basics, all there is left to do is...snorkel!" Aphmau exclaims enthusiastically, standing in front of rows of tourist and some islanders, doing her shift of snorkel duty.

"We will be stopping at three points: All of which undoubtedly exemplifies the beauty and tranquillity which is this island's waters," Aphmau informs with a smile, accompanying her words by signaling to the corresponding places on the map pinned up behind her.

"And don't worry, we are well known for having peaceful and safe surrounding waters....now let's go swimming with the fishes...."

"You saw....an eye? You sure it wasn't just your reflection, dumbass?" Garroth wisecracks, hiking up the white powdery beach from the dock where their boat was securely tied up, lugging some equipment in a duffel bag over his shoulder.

"I'm serious Garroth, I know this camera and it was at least 12 inches...." Aaron begins to reason before Garroth interrupts yet again to make another snarky comment.

"Oh yeah, and I have at least 12 inches as well....." Garroth winks, making an explicit gesture towards his area.

Aaron can't help but laugh at his best friend, thinking maybe it was just all in his head. The idea became more ludicrous as time went on, anyway.

But it also became more terrifying, as there was definitely something in the water. There were too many fishy factors, pun intended, that didn't add up.

"I'm serious....Garroth...." Aaron says with a bit more severity. "There is something in the water...."

"Yeesh okay then, you big baby. We'll just stay clear of it for a few days and whatever you saw will probably be gone....." Garroth advocates, the beaming sun glaring down on their faces as they squinted their way up to Garroth's shop.

Garroth, despite his love of animals, made his money off the local wildlife and really anything on the island which could be converted into a souvenir. The walls were covered, head to toe in shelves filled with various eccentric trinkets to try and scam the foreigners.

"Yeah, we'll just stay clear of it...." Aaron repeats, the words somehow sticking in his mind though, as if the words had some sort of significance behind them. That he had forgotten something.

And it hits him, the shock prompting him to drop his duffel bag of quite expensive equipment on the wood-boarded floor. The word just barely escaping his lips as he darted towards the fish shack.

"Aphmau....."
