𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑨 first date, Grey was proud to say that it wasn't too awkward. In fact the conversations never stopped, just molding into different topics seamlessly as if the two had known each other forever. That had honestly been her lifesaver, because Kirishima had decided to take her on the simplest date possible as to not overwhelm her.

Just a simple stroll which included a pit stop at an ice cream vendor.

The last attraction of the day was a small convenience store where the two simply goofed around and talked about even more things. Although Grey 100% had enjoyed every moment of her time with her crush, she couldn't help to admit (internally) that her legs were getting tired and she had been holding in her pee for about twenty minutes. The store was a nice way to wind down and bring the day to a close.

The American (was she technically American now that she was a citizen of Japan?) glanced to the boy next to her, eyebrow quirking at his question.

"So can you turn into a shark?" Kirishima had been asking all night about her quirk at the most random times. She didn't know if it was an attempt to get to know her better or if he was genuinely curious, but either way they were simple questions she could answer which embarrassing herself.

"No, never touched one... that I know of. I've definitely pet the heck out of that one dolphin at the aquarium though."

Eijiro's eyes widened and he hands curled into two excited fists. "Oh, dude, dolphin's are so cool!"

Grey blushed softly. It was kinda cute how he called her dude even if it wasn't the most romantic. But it was what made him him. "And what about you? How hard can you make your skin?"

She couldn't help but cringe as soon as the words left her mouth. Really, Grey? Obviously as hard as rock that's the whole point! Fortunately he didn't turn on her and start calling her stupid, but instead fidgeted nervously and kept his eyes anywhere but in her direction.

"Uhm... I don't really know. Still figuring it out."

Okay. So that was a touchy subject. Grey shrugged as the two looped around and began walking back towards the entrance. "There's nothing wrong with that, Kirishima. We're only first years, I'm still working things out too."

He smiled gratefully in response. "You know... it was super manly of you to ask me out. I was still working up the courage to even mention it to anybody."

Grey chuckled and pushed a blonde lock of hair behind her ears. If only he knew what she had to go through. "Well, I just thought it wouldn't be worth torturing myself over for three years."

She looked to him and was surprise to see a beaming smile on his face. He seemed to be so proud of her for something that thousands of people did everyday with no problem; it made her heart swell underneath her ribcage.

Everything seemed to be going right today. It had all been so... perfect (excuse the fairytale wording). She was even planning in her head the way she would grab Kirishima's hand once they got back onto the street.

She remembered she was in Class 1-A, the class of bad luck, when the screaming started.

𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑨𝑭𝑻𝑬𝑹𝑵𝑶𝑶𝑵 had been going about the same for Chayse. Little to no mishaps, and only once when she had to stop talking in the midst of a bad stutter. The two girls had agreed upon seeing a movie, one that neither of them were that interested in and had picked at random.

Apparently the film had bad reviews because the theatre was absolutely empty, so they had free range to talk and laugh at stupid lines in the script. Uraraka had accidentally swiped her hand across Chayse's in the dark at one point, and immediately apologized with a small bow.

For a girl that had been so confident earlier that day, she sure seemed to be melting as the minutes went by.

When the movie ended, the two headed towards a nearby convenience store in order to purchase some water bottles. Beverages at the movie theater had been way overpriced.

Inside their gaits were slow and lazy, just enjoying each other's company and relishing in the fact they were actually on a date. Chayse had to head home soon, feeling a bit guilty she had left her family on her birthday. She tried not to think about that for now.

"Wait... Erhart?" Ochako frowned and let out a huff as she stopped in her tracks. "Aren't you just as poor as me? Why have you been paying for everything?"

The blonde blushed in response and tried to shrug as nonchalantly as possible. "I asked my dad to loan me a few bucks for my birthday. It's no big deal."

"That's no fair," she pouted.

"You'll have your chance on the next date." Oop. That was a mistake. Both of their eyes widened and they turned away from each other to avoid the inevitable sputtering. "I— unless you, I mean—"

"I think— if you—"

Their stuttering would probably not stop for quite some time, all attempts feeble. They both wanted to absolutely go on a 2nd date and another after that, then another (might as make it a weekly thing), but it was difficult to accept the offer when neither of them could get the words out. Just one glance at the other and they would be sent into another round of blinding blushes.

Luckily (or not?) the chilling screams from the front cut them off before their own embarrassment could.
