Lethe Rosier wasn't a looker by popular standards.

The seventeen and a half, orphaned girl's blue eyes and brunette hair weren't anything to show off in any way. At least in her mind.

The girls' tenancy to shy away from anything that caused her to leave her safe bubble of comfort also kept her from having too many friends.

Hell, Lethe's best friends were fellow losers, Aidan Grant and Jo Danvers. Both of which were of the opposite sex, but still loved the Rosier girl as if she was their sister.

Of course the only downside to being the "Loser Trio", was the bullying. Lethe was often told to stop following in her "Deatheater" father's footsteps(Until then the bullies "remembered" that she didn't have any parents), Aidan would often be bullied for being one of the school's (surprisingly) few black kids, and Jo was often the target of racist "Aren't Asians meant to be good at maths".

The "Loser Trio" each had their own quirks and strengths. Lethe, was (to the surprise of anyone who would meet her) was a great hacker/programmer. And once people got to know the blue-eyed beauty, they'd be surprised to find out how much of a mouth she had on her.

Aidan was gamer, he played all the new and upcoming games such as Fornite and Pokemon. No matter what people said, the Grant boy was a whizz at gaming and numbers.

Jo was the oddball in their trio. Jo wasn't a kid who like computer games, or even phones. Jo was the go-to guy for anything outdoors. The Danvers boy was an unpopular jock.

The three were unwanted, but they were there for each other.

Lethe Rosier's nimble fingers darted across the keyboard of her laptop as she sat back to back with Aidan Grant, whose eyes were focused as his hands furiously attacked his PS4 controller.

A short distance away, Jo Danvers sat reading a novel that the trio was supposed to be reading for their English class, but as always, the other two had gotten distracted with their devices.

"You know we're supposed to have read this by tomorrow, right?" Jo asked his friends, a dark eyebrow raised at them.

"Tomorrow?" Lethe asked, her eyes darting up from her computer screen, "I thought Ms. wanted it done by Friday?"

"Tomorrow is Friday," Jo said, exasperation in his voice.

Aidan paused his game, "Really?" he asked turning around and almost making the girl who had been leaning against his back fall back, "Shit, sorry, Lethe."

The Rosier girl giggled it off, "No problem."

"But really? It's Thursday already?" The Grant boy asked his friend.

The Danvers boy sighed, "Yes, geek. It's Friday tomorrow."

"Oxygen Hydrogen, Fluorine Uranium Carbon Potassium," Both Lethe and Aidan cursed.

Jo rolled his eyes as his two friends raced to their bags to grab their books, "I have no idea how you two are going to survive the rest of high school."

"Nope," Aidan said.

"Neither," Lethe said shaking her head as she plopped back down onto the floor next to Aidan.

Jo sighed as the two just grinned.
