"Wow Pony, this is amazing. You come up here all the time?" I ask Ponyboy.

"Yep. It sure is pretty." he answers. I look up at the sunset.

"The colors all blend in. Orange, yellow, white. They're all beautiful." I say.

Ponyboy takes my hand. "Nature's first green is gold," he starts.

"Her hardest hue to hold." I whisper. I feel him staring at me.

"Her early leaf's a flower,"

"But only so an hour." I say as I turn to look at him.

"Then leaf subsides to leaf," he whispers as he starts to lean in.

"So Eden sank to grief."

"So dawn goes down to day,"

"Nothing gold can stay." we both whisper together.

Ponyboy leans in and kisses me. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me closer as my arms go up to his neck. When we break apart, his hand caresses my cheek.

"I wanna spend the rest of my sunsets with you, babygirl." he whispers huskily in my ear.

I go up on my toes and gently bite his ear. "Yeah? You're gonna have to catch me first!" I yell as I turn and run down the hill.
