☆☆☆ i sit up as the thunder gets loud. i hate being alone during thunderstorms, but at least the sound of my parents fighting isn't covering the sound of rain here in the curtis' house. i try to go back to sleep, but the thunder just keeps getting louder and louder. finally, i decide to go up to pony's room. i slowly open the door and see him sound asleep. i hate waking him up when he looks so peaceful, so i just lift his arm and nuzzle into his chest. ponyboy opens his eyes for a split second and whispers, "i have been expecting you, (y/n)." he smiles and pulls me closer. ☆☆☆
