TRENT'S POV

The next day, my band mates and I had breakfast together. "So what happened after that horrendous night?" Will asked me.

I sighed and looked at my cup.

Chantel and I went back to their house to get my back pack. As I was just leaving, Madisson and Ashleigh gave me a hug.

"My twin sister likes you too." Ashleigh whispered while hugging me. I pulled away, "I think you're mistaken." I said.

"Trust me, she does. I'm her twin sister so I know that much about her." She said then winked at me. I laughed and then waved at them goodbye. I was walking down the road when Mrs. Griffiths called me back.

"Trent!" She said and I turned around only to find her jogging towards me.

"Is there a problem, Mrs. Griffiths?" I asked.

"I would just like to apologise for what my husband did." Mrs. Griffiths said.

I grinned, "It's understandable." I replied.

She smiled then put a hand on my shoulder, "Also, I just want you to know that whatever happened between me, your dad and my husband, you and my daughters especially Chantel have nothing to do with it." She said. "I know you like my daughter, Trent."

And with that I turned pale. How did she knew about that? Have I been that obvious with my actions? She laughed, "I see the way you look at her. Don't worry kiddo, I'm not gonna tell her. I'll let you two deal with that." She said.

I chuckled, "Is that the way how my father used to look at you before?" I asked and she fell silent. I took a deep breath and let it out as a big sigh. "You know, it just sucks to know that my mum wasn't my dad's first love."

"Trent, your father is a good man." She said softly and I can see her expression soften when she said it. Damn, she must still love him back. "I know that what happened between your father and I is a little bit hard to take in right now but it's just the way it is and we all have to accept it. Anyway, what I want you to keep in your mind is that you and Chantel are out of this. Both of you have nothing to do with it and please, don't let this affect your friendship and love for my daughter."

"Chantel's mum has a point. It's all in the past and you two are not a part of it." Jayden said.

"You should've told Chantel's father: 'You can fuck the fuck off from my private life, thank you very much.'" Will said.

"And what? Get him onto his bad side even more, kick him out of the house and be banned there for the rest of his life?" Julian said to Will.

"So what? He and Chantel are still gonna see each other at school and other places like the park, mall etcetera." He replied back to Julian.

"Will, Trent is not a bad-ass like you." Jayden pointed out to him.

"Thank you J-jogs." I said.

"Yeah true and that's the problem. You see Trentos, you gotta be sometimes a bad-ass to put certain people in their places so they wouldn't try to step onto you." Will told me.

"Not really." Julian chimed in.

I turned to Jayden, "Hey Jayden, any comments?" I asked.

"I love this food." He said while devouring his third plate of breakfast. Sigh, this guy... We all facepalmed ourselves at his random comment.

I went home after that horrendous dinner with the Griffiths.

"Hey Trent." Jono, my brother, greeted me.
