The sun beamed in through the window, making the room shine a dim golden shade. Five's eyes slowly peeked open as he let his eyes trail down to the weight next to him. Y/n laid sleeping in his arms, curled into his side and holding his hand as she slept. A fond smile found it's way to his face as he slowly let go of her hand to softly caress her face, moving away her messy hair. Her leg was intertwined with his and her head gently moved with the rise and fall of his chest. Her features were so at peace, her lips slightly parted and her eyes closed lightly in an undisturbed sleep.

He wished to always wake up this way for the rest of his life. Whether it be the limited days they had or many years they might possibly save, he wanted to enjoy this. He kissed her temple softly, loving how close she was to him, even gripping his shirt softly as though she didn't want to lose him. A sudden pain struck his heart as he thought of losing her. He didn't want to lose this. He had to stop the apocalypse.

He slowly pulled away from her untangling himself from her small frame before climbing out of the bed. He made sure to bury her in the comforter, before kneeling down beside the bed. He stared amazed at the girl he knew was his, the girl he would save the world for. "I'll be back, love." He promised before kissing her palm and standing. He made his way out of the room, the pain in his abdomen barely noticeable, leaving him only a little sore. Y/n was good, he would give her that.

He treaded cautiously down the stairs, careful to not injure himself further as he went down to the kitchen, where he hoped someone had the brains to make some coffee. Luther sat in one of the chairs, leaning weakly over the table as Klaus poured a familiar dark substance into his mug. "Here we go this'll fix ya." Luther groaned, taking hold of the cup and bringing it to his mouth but Five quickly intervened, taking the mug and sipping it. "Nice. Okay." Klaus mumbled pouring another glass to replace Luther's stolen one. "Jesus. Who do I gotta kill to get a decent cup of coffee?" Five asked annoyed with a disgusted look as he set the glass down. "Can we get started? Please?" Luther begged holding his head in his hands. "Anyone seen any of the others? Y/n? Diego? Allison? No?" Klaus asked looking around at the empty room. "All right, then, this is the closest thing to a quorum," he paused slamming his spatula on the table, "that we're gonna get." Luther winced and moved away from Klaus, clearly struggling from an intense hangover, probably his first one. "Now, listen up. There's no easy way to say this, so I'm just gonna spit it out." Klaus announced staring at the empty seat across from Five. "Yeah." He dragged on before stopping making Five and Luther look at each other in annoyance. "Klaus." They both called. Klaus snapped out of his daze turning to them. "I conjured Dad last night." He explained.

The room went silent as Luther looked between Klaus and Five, in too much pain to make sense of what he was saying. Five watched Klaus, not speaking as he held his mug in his hands. Luther sighed realizing he would have to play along, "I thought you said you haven't been able to conjure anyone in years." Luther said, dismissing Klaus's statement. "Ah, yes, I know, but I'm sober. Ta-da!" He cheered, waving his spatula. The two stared at him unsure of what to say or if he was even telling the truth. "I got clean, yesterday, to talk to someone special, and then ended up having this conversation with dear old Daddy himself." Klaus described, putting his hands together as he sighed.

"Has anyone got some aspirin?" Luther asked, no longer entertaining Klaus's story. "Top shelf, next to the crackers." Five answered, not really caring about Klaus's discovery to begin with. "Hey, hey, hey. This is serious, guys, all right?" Klaus said looking at them with a hurt expression. Luther stood, with a deep sigh as he walked over to the cabinet in search for his relief. "This really happened, I swear." Klaus pleaded. He knew it would be hard to get them to believe he was sober after so many years of being high and making bad decisions. Y/n would've believed him. "Okay, fine. I'll play. What did the old man have to say?" Five replied, giving Klaus a little hope. Maybe Y/n was rubbing off on him. "Well, he gave me the usual lecture about my appearance and my failures in life. Yada yada yada. No surprise there. Even the afterlife couldn't soften a hardass like Dad, right? But he did mention something about his murder, or lack thereof, because-wait for it. He killed himself." Klaus said, suddenly sparking Five's interest, but Luther scoffed, standing up.
