It's a date

(Short Recap: It's been about a month since you and Johnny moved to Amity Park and you and Johnny are finally fully settled in. Paulina and her friends have started to come over to hang out with you, and you all honestly have a good time. You and Danny have started sitting next to each other in the classes you have together and have started studying together at your house sometimes, since he's always so tired in class. Johnny also made a few friends of his own, and has even gotten Paulina to like him. But of course no matter who you were hanging out with, you and Johnny were still rarely apart.)
The morning was cold and overcast, and right as you stepped out the door to walk to school with Johnny it started to rain. You groaned as the two of you started to trudge to school. By the time you got inside the two of you were soaked through your jackets. You hung yours in your gym locker to dry and went to first period. As if the day wasn't already crummy enough the second you sat down Mr. Lancer announced that there would be a pop quiz over The Scarlet Letter. He had just finished handing out the quizzes when Danny burst into the classroom, fifteen minutes late and looking more tired than ever.
"Ah, finally decided to join the rest of the class Daniel?" Mr. Lancer said as he slammed a quiz on Danny's desk and muttered, "See me after class." Danny sighed and started to fill out his quiz. You and Johnny finished first and you turned both of your papers in to a smiling Mr. Lancer. By now he knew that you and Johnny always did well, making the two of you some of his favorite students. After the quiz Mr. Lancer started his lecture and you could finally reach into your backpack and get a piece of notebook paper. You wrote a note and passed it to Danny.
Are you okay?
Ya, I'm just tired. I definitely bombed that test though.
You really should read the book...

Maybe I could come study with you today after school?
You hesitated before writing your answer. Ever since the first time Johnny said that he could tell that Danny liked you, you had started to grow really weird feelings for him. It was to the point where even him being close to you could make you nervous.
Ya, sure:)
Okay. Wait for me after school?
Of course.
After class you grabbed your things and started to head to gym with Johnny. Today was fitness test day, so neither of you were very worried about anything. The rest of the day went by without any issue, and before you knew it the final bell rang and you were ready to go home. You waited for Danny near the doors to the school. After a few minutes he finally showed up.
"Hey! Sorry about that Sam needed to talk to me. Where's Johnny?" He asked as the two of you left the school.
"He's hanging out with some friends, but he said he'd be back before dark." You said softly.
"O-okay! So I guess it's just you and me huh?" He said avoiding your eyes.
"Uh....Ya." You said looking at the ground as you walked. Soon you arrived at your house. You unlocked the door and the two of you went inside and set up in the living room. You sat down on the couch and Danny sat on the other side as usual. As the two of you started to study, you started to wonder what it would be like if you liked someone. After all you weren't sure that you knew how it felt to like someone like that, or have them feel the same. After about thirty minutes of studying you put your book down on the coffee table.
"Danny can I ask you something?" You asked looking up at him.
"Sure!" He said putting his book down.
"So...Johnny has been saying lately that he thinks that you might like me... as more than friends? Is that true?" You asked him, watching him blush slightly.
"Umm, well...Yes y/n I do." He said as his face turned even redder.
"Why?" You asked looking down at your hands. Danny scooted closer to you.
"Are you kidding me?" He asked as he put his hand on your cheek you make you face him. "Y/n you're beautiful, and smart, and funny. Honestly I don't see how I couldn't have fallen for you."
"You really think I'm beautiful?" You asked as your heart started racing. Danny swallowed nervously and grabbed your hands.
"Yes. I love everything about you, especially your amazing e/c eyes. I could get lost in them all day if you'd let me." Danny said, his voice growing gradually quieter. You had barely noticed how close together you two had gotten. Your faces were barely six inches apart and you could feel the heat radiating from his body. It felt so nice.
"Danny..." You whispered as the two of you grew even closer.
"Y/n. Do you like me too?" He asked with concern in his bright blue eyes. You thought about it for a quick second. You wanted this to happen, and it felt right, and you thought you had feelings for him. So without a second thought you whispered a quick,
"Yes." Danny smiled and wrapped his arms around your waist. You moved yours up his chest and around his neck, sending shivers up his spine.
"Y/n-" Danny started to say something, but was cut short by the knob on the front door rattling. The two of you broke apart just in time for Johnny to walk in. He looked at the two of you for a quick second before walking over to you.
"Hey Johnny! What have you been up to?" You asked as you stood up and faced him.
We went to the mayors garage sale, then Nasty Burger, and then I found this cool knife.
Johnny Reached into his backpack and pulled out a long silver dagger with green accents.
"Why's Mayor Masters having a garage sale?" You asked turning the dagger around in your hands.
"What?" Danny asked as he walked over to you.
There was a ton of cool stuff. But I couldn't find anything I liked. But I found this in the park on my way home.
Johnny shoved it back in his bag.
"That's really cool dude!" You said with a smile.
Yup. So. What did I interrupt?
You felt your cheeks heat up.
"What? Nothing don't worry about it." You said laughing awkwardly.
Haha right. I'll get out of your way.
Johnny walked upstairs leaving you and Danny alone once again. The two of you stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before Danny spoke up.
"Do you maybe wanna go get something to eat?" He asked, shifting from side to side.
"Sure. Johnny I'm going out I'll be back soon!" You yelled, knowing that he could hear you. The two of you left the house and started to walk to Nasty Burger. The two of you started to walk in silence. After walking down the block you felt Danny's fingers brush against the inside of your wrist and tangled his fingers with yours. You smiled and gave his hand a squeeze. As the two of you started to pass through the park Danny stopped and let go of your hand. You turned around to look at him. After a moment of hesitation he took a step towards you and put his hands on either side of your waist.
"So...Anyway, about what I wanted to ask you earlier?" He said softly. You moved closer to him and put your hands on his chest.
"Ya?" You asked as you looked up at him. He blushed bright red and swallowed.
"I want to know if...If you want to that is... Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked softly while he rested his forehead on yours. You weren't sure how to respond, you'd never been in this situation. But you knew that you wanted him to get closer to you, you wanted him to wrap his arms around you again and kiss him like actors did in movies.
"Yes." You whispered as you moved as close to him as you could get and wrapped your arms around his neck. Danny gave a relieved sigh and fully wrapped his arms around you. You buried your face in his chest and closed your eyes. You took a deep breath and let yourself get lost in the moment. After a few minutes Danny pulled away from you slightly to look down at you. He planted a small kiss on your cheek. You felt your cheeks heat up as you looked down, avoiding his gaze. Danny chuckled and tilted your chin up to make you face him.
"You're so cute." He said, looking down at you adoringly. You smiled softly and looked deep into his baby blue eyes. You let go of him and sat on a bench nearby. He followed you and the two of you sat talking for a few hours and the time seemed to fly by.
"You wanna know something?" You said softly.
"What?" Danny asked with an adoring smile.
"I've never been in a relationship before." You said slightly embarrassed.
"No way! How can anyone not have asked out a girl like you?" He said laughing softly. It isn't that hard if you know me. You thought to yourself.
"Heh, ya. I guess it's pretty embarrassing." You mumbled as you looked at the ground.
"I don't think so." Danny said as he gently grabbed your hands.
"Really?" You asked, looking up at him. Danny blushed and let go of your hands to scratch the back of his neck.
"Well, ya. I get to be the first person to love you, and that's just....awesome." He said looking back over at you. You smiled and moved close to him, laying your head on his shoulder. Danny wrapped an arm around your waist and traced small circles on your side. You sighed contentedly and snuggled into him.
"Do you really like me that much? That you love me?" You asked in a low murmur. Danny kissed your forehead and whispered softly into your ear.
"Of course I do." You smiled and sighed softly.
"Let's do this again sometime." You mumbled as you closed your eyes.
"It's a date." He said with a smile. After a few more minutes the two of you got up and Danny took you home. With a quick kiss you said goodnight to him and went up to your room to get some sleep, only to see that Johnny was waiting for you.
"So. Did you have fun?" He asked with a raised brow.
"Uh... Ya, also Danny and I are kind of.....uh..." You said with a slight blush dusting your cheeks.
"Dating? About damn time." He said with a small smile.
"You're okay with it?" You asked surprised.
"Yup. It's about time you found someone, you're 17 and you haven't even had a boyfriend yet." Johnny said with a small chuckle. You stuck your tongue out at him and got ready for bed, ready for the day ahead.
