After you told Danny about your powers, the two of you cuddled and he walked you home. When you walked in the door Tillia was watching TV and drinking. You silently walked over to the stairs and up to your room, where Johnny was reading. He set down his book and looked at you.
What happened?
Johnny stood up and walked over to you.
"It's okay, everything went well." You said with a slight laugh as he walked towards you.
You've been crying and you have a massive bandage on your arm. What. Happened?
You sighed and sat down on your bed. He sat across from you on his bed and told him what had happened, even Danny's secret.
So. First hunters and now ghosts? That's just great.
"Ya it isn't the best. But at least we know what to expect later." You said yawning.
Well, at least you and Danny are still together. I would've had to break his knees if he left you over this.
You giggled and kicked his leg.
"You can't just knee-cap people dude! Besides, it doesn't matter now. We're still together and that's what's important." You said with a smile. Johnny smiled at you.
It's late. We should go to bed, tomorrow's Saturday, so we can get out of the house and do something.
You nodded and kicked off your shoes. Johnny turned off the light and the two of you slowly drifted off despite the blaring TV downstairs. You woke up to a text from Danny.
Danny: Hey, Sam and Tucker are gonna be at my house today to study and I figured I could use your help.
You smiled and typed back.
You: Sure! Can Johnny come along? He wanted to hang out today.
Danny: No problem! Maybe Sam will be too busy gawking at him to yell at me lol.
You: Lol ya. What time do you want us to be there?
Danny: Can you be here in thirty?
You: Sure! Be there soon.
You rolled over and looked at Johnny.
"Johnny! Johnny!" You whisper yelled at his sleeping form. He groaned and rolled over.
What???
"Danny wants us to go over to his house and study. Do you wanna go or hang out later?" You asked as you sat up and started to get ready.
Nah. I want to go back to bed and not wake up until like, noon.
"So, you want to hang out later then?" You asked as you grabbed a towel to go shower.
Yup. You go have fun studying with your boyfriend and his groupies.
Johnny said with a sarcastic smile before rolling over to go back to bed. You rolled your eyes and went to go shower and get ready to go.
-----------Danny's P.O.V-----------
I sat my phone down and looked up at Tucker.
"So? Is she gonna come over?" He asked excitedly.
"Ya, she'll be over in thirty." I said grabbing my homework out of my backpack.
"Who's coming over?" Sam asked as she walked back into the room.
"Y/n's coming over!" Tucker said enthusiastically. Sam looked at me and glared.
"Really? Why?" Sam growled. I looked up at her.
"Because she's my girlfriend and I should be able to invite her wherever I want." I said as I looked down at my phone.
"Danny! You know I don't like her!" Sam said moving to stand in front of me.
"To be fair Sam, you haven't really given her a chance. I mean, why do even hate her?" Tucker asked, obviously getting as tired of this as I was.
"You know how that group is! They pretend to be nice and then they stab you in the back!" Sam said turning to Tucker.
"But she's not like them, and you can't judge a person because of who they hang out with." Tucker said standing up.
"Oh really Tucker?" Sam said crossing her arms.
"She didn't. If y/n judged people like you do she would have never spoken to me after the way you introduced yourself." I said with a slightly sharper tone than I meant to have.
"Just because she-" Sam started to say walking towards me.
"Why can't you just try to talk to her like a civilized person? You're a total ass to her and she gives you that courtesy." I growled.
"I'm just looking out for you! I don't want you to get your heart broken!" Sam said snatching my phone so that I had to look at her. I stood up so that I could look down at her.
"You want to talk about breaking my heart? Why don't we talk about sophomore year and last summer?" I muttered.
"C'mon Danny, let's all just calm down." Tucker said from the other side of my room.
"Last time I checked, all that you ever did was go from 'I love you Danny' to 'Sorry Danny, I'm dumping you and saying it's your fault but then tomorrow I'll be with some douche from the poetry lounge'!" I said raising my voice slightly.
"Danny I-" Sam started to say with a sad expression.
"And every time you pulled that bullshit I put on a smile and said I was happy for you until I felt that way! But now, after four years I find happiness, and you can't even try to be happy for me!?" I said feeling my eyes start to water.
"Danny please that's not-" Sam said grabbing my arm. I shoved her hand off of me.
"Or maybe you can't stand the thought that I'm not gonna be here to be your chew toy anymore? Is that it?!" I shouted. Sam stepped back a few feet.
"Danny....I'm sorry." Sam said softly. Before I could say anything I heard my mom knock on the door.
"Kids? Is everything okay in here?"
"Ya mom! Just helping Tucker practice for...drama class." I said as I opened the door.
"Oh! Well the neighbor girl is here to see you!" Mom said with a smile. I felt dread run through my veins.
"Oh god mom, you didn't leave her with dad did you?" I asked grabbing her arm.
"Oh sweetie! Your father's not that bad." She said brushing me off. I bolted down the hallway and down the stairs to see my dad with an arm around y/n talking about the amazing profession of ghost hunting. I ran over to her and pryed her away from my dad.
"Hey y/n." I said as I wrapped my arm around her waist and kept it there. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey Danny!" She said softly. A concerned look washed over her face.
"Danny! I was just telling your little friend here about Maddie and I's training program!" Dad said proudly. Mom walked down the stairs and looked over at y/n and I.
"Oh! Danny you didn't tell us you had a girlfriend!" Mom said excitedly.
"Girlfriend? When do I get to meet her?" Dad said slightly offended that mom seemed to meet her first.
"Jack. Danny has his arm around her right now." Mom said as she walked over and put a hand on Dad's shoulder.
"Oh. Well done Danny!" Dad said excitedly. "You know we Fenton men always attract the best kind of partners! We've got the perfect genes for making-"
"Okay! Mom, Dad, you know y/n and y/n you know my parents. Now if you'll excuse us we have to go study." I said as I rushed over to the stairs with y/n.
"Let us know if you need anything y/n!" Mom yelled up the stairs.
"Thank you Mrs. Fenton!" Y/n yelled back. We stopped right outside my room so that I could finally breathe. Y/n backed up and looked at me with the same concerned look.
"Sorry about my parents." I said awkwardly. Y/n shook her head and set a hand on my cheek.
"What's wrong baby?" She asked softly as her e/c eyes peered into my blue ones. I sighed and smiled slightly.
"I like it when you call me that, and it's okay. I got into a small argument earlier." I muttered as I put my hand on hers, holding it to my face.
"Do you want to talk about it later?" She asked as she gently rubbed my cheek with her thumb. I nodded and grabbed her hand. I opened the door to go back into my room to see Sam and Tucker doing homework. They both looked up as I closed the door.
"Hey y/n! How's it going?" Tucker asked perking up.
"I'm doing pretty good Tucker! How are you guys?" She asked sweetly.
"We're all pretty good." Tucker said with a smile.
"Hey, wasn't Johnny gonna come along?" I asked, noticing his absence.
"He was going to, but then he decided he wanted to sleep until noon or later." Y/n said with a slight chuckle. I laughed a bit then sat down on my bed with my homework. Y/n sat down next to me and reached into her bag to get out a calculus textbook.
"Woah y/n! You're in calculus?" Tucker asked excitedly.
"AP calculus actually, free college credit is free college credit." She said with a smile. I smiled down at her and dropped my head onto her shoulder. She reached up and fluffed my hair, then started her calculus homework.
"That's pretty cool! I'm in AP Statistics." Tucker said pridefully.
"Cool! What field are you hoping to go into?" She asked, genuinely curious. I love that. I love how she genuinely cares. I thought as I listened to her calming voice.
"I'm not sure about specifics, but pretty much anything techy. Right now I'm scheduled to become an engineering major." Tucker said as he started to work on something.
"Well, you've got plenty of time to figure out what your calling is." She said softly. I closed my eyes and let my head rest between her shoulder and neck. After a few minutes I felt her messing with my hair, making me open my eyes.
"Hmmm?" I hummed sitting up.
"C'mon sleepy head. You've got to get your stuff done." She said as she pointed to my homework. I groaned softly and started working on my english homework. After a few hours of homework Sam and Tucker had finished everything up and were talking about school and events coming up. Y/n had stopped working on her homework to help me out. Suddenly my ghost sense went off. I stood up.
"Hey, I have to go-" I started to say.
"I know. Go do what you have to." Y/n said with a smile. I smiled at her and transformed, flying off to find the ghost.
---------Your P.O.V-----------
"Y/n, you know about Danny?" Sam asked, sounding slightly hurt.
"Oh, uh...ya." You said shifting slightly. Suddenly Danny's dad burst into the room.
"Where's Danny!?" He exclaimed.
"Uh... bathroom." Tucker said nervously.
"When he gets back tell him to stay inside! There are ghosts out there! Maddie it's go time!" He shouted as he turned and ran down the hall.
"Speaking of the bathroom, I've gotta go." Tucker said getting up and rushing to the bathroom. You and Sam sat in silence. You took a deep breath and spoke up.
"Sam, I know that you don't like me. But you look upset. And I know you probably don't want to talk to me, but are you okay?" You asked, preparing yourself for whatever venom she could spew at you. Sam just sighed and looked at her hands.
"Danny and I got into a fight." She muttered.
"Oh...what happened?" You asked, moving to the floor to sit with her. She just sighed and closed her eyes.
"I think I might have really messed up." She said softly. You thought for a moment.
"Look, friends fight. I don't know what happened between you two, but you've been friends for years. I'm sure you're both upset now but things will be okay if you give them a little bit of time and space." You said with an empathetic smile. Sam looked up at you.
"Thanks." She grumbled.
"No problem." You said as you got up, patting her shoulder as you moved back to your spot. Tucker came back soon and the three of you sat talking for a little longer. Soon fifteen minutes had passed and you were getting worried. "Should we go find Danny?"
"No, he's usually fine without us, especially in the last year." Tucker said passively. You shifted awkwardly as fifteen more minutes passed.
"Ah, dammit." You muttered before getting up and running out of the house. Okay, think. If I were a ghost, where would I be? Your thoughts were interupted when Danny slammed right into his house. You looked to see some kind of shadow thing chasing him, and a pale guy on a motorcycle laughing as he watched. Without thinking you ran over to the guy on the bike. "Do you know that thing!"
"And what if I do sweet thing?" He asked with a smirk.
"Then I'll have to kick your ass." You said with a sarcastic smile.
"Oh ya? How's a pretty thing like you gonna do that?" He said with a laugh. You looked over to see the shadow thing drag it's claws up Danny's back, tearing through his skin. You felt anger well up within you.
"Like this ass wipe!" You said as you slammed a handful of electricity on the guy's bike. The bike instantly lurched forward and darted straight into a building, not even giving the ghost time to turn invisible. The shadow thing looked up and flew over to it's master. You ran over to Danny who was on his knees, trying to get up.
"Y/n? What are you doing out here?" Danny asked concerned.
"No time, distraction's almost over. How do you get rid of those things?" You asked as you pulled Danny to his feet, helping him rest against the building. He handed you the thermos he had previously used.
"Just open it and point it." Danny said panting. You looked and saw that he was clearly bleeding. You pulled him into the alley where he could be hidden.
"Stay here." You ran out into the street, only to see that the two ghosts were there waiting. Without a second thought you pulled the top off of the thermos and held onto it tight as the two ghosts were sucked inside. You quickly capped the thermos and caught your breath. You ran over to Danny, who had already transformed back, and wrapped his arm around you to get him back inside. You looked around to see that there were no people, even Danny's parents weren't there. They really need better ghost hunting equipment if they can't catch a ghost in front of their own house. You thought as you pulled Danny into his house and up the stairs. Sam and Tucker immediately stood up when you busted the door open.
"What happened?" Tucker asked frantically.
"Move! I need a first aid kit and cotton balls now!" You ordered as you set Danny on his bed. The two scrambled to get your supplies.
"I'm okay y/n, really." Danny said, clearly dazed.
"You're bleeding, really badly." You said as you pulled the bloody shirt off of him. You got on the bed and sat behind him, looking at the major wounds. Sam and Tucker came in with the supplies you asked for and set them next to you.
"Oh god, that looks really bad man!" Tucker said hysterically.
"Tucker, I need you to calm down and go get something for him to eat and drink to combat the blood loss. Sam, please help Tucker." You said digging in the first aid kit. The two nodded and ran out of the room. You set a hand on Danny's shoulder and started to clean around the wounds, looking for anything that may have gotten inside. Danny set his hand on yours.
"Thanks for coming to find me." Danny mumbled. You wetted collon balls with some peroxide and grabbed them with tweezers. You turned Danny's face to look at you.
"Danny, this is going to hurt really bad, but I need to disinfect these scratches." You said softly. He nodded and held your hand. You kissed him gently as you dabbed the first cotton ball along the largest scratch. Danny winced and gasped, pulling away from you and panting. You continued to clean up the scratches, your heart racing as you cleaned the deep scratches. Sam and Tucker came back with a glass of water, a banana, and oreos.
"Will this work?" Tucker asked.
"Ya. Danny, start eating." You said as you continued to clean the scratches.
"Is he going to need stitches?" Sam asked softly, almost making Danny choke.
"No. These are deep, but they aren't deep enough for stitches." You said as you continued to focus on patching him up.
"Sam, maybe we should go." Tucker said softly. Sam nodded and the two left. You finally were at the stage where you could use gauze. You placed long gauze pads on the scratches and used medical tape to keep them on.
"How are you feeling?" You asked Danny as you grabbed a roll of gauze.
"Better." Danny said, slightly less weak than before.
"Keep talking to me okay?" You said softly.
"Okay." He said softly.
"Tell me about the argument." You said as you began to wrap Danny in gauze, just to ensure the pads would stay on. Danny sighed.
"So, Sam was the first person I ever really loved. And all she ever did was play me. She'd 'love' me for a few weeks, then find someone else and dump me. And it was always something I did. I let it happen for all of sophomore year, and all of last summer. And yet I still tried to be happy for her. But she can't ever stand the people I like. And she was saying stuff about you and I just... I brought it up. And I yelled at her." Danny sighed and slumped forward. You finished wrapping the gauze and taped it off.
"Do you think that argument is why this injury happened?" You asked as you rubbed Danny's back.
"I don't know. I just...I shouldn't have said anything. I mean I'm happy now right? I have no right to be mad." Danny said trailing off.
"Hold on," You said as you moved in front of Danny, putting a leg on either side of him to straddle him. "What do you mean you have no right to be angry?" You asked as Danny wrapped his arms around you.
"It happened a while ago. And I didn't say anything then, so I shouldn't be angry now." Danny mumbled into your chest. You put your hands on his cheeks and made him look up at you.
"Danny, that was a really shitty thing to do. And she did it multiple times. That's super manipulative and toxic. Yet you still were nice to her, and she treats your relationship like this. You have more reason to be angry at her than anyone okay?" You said softly.
"Ya, I know..." Danny said as he looked down.
"Danny look at me," You said sternly. Danny looked up at you. "You are a living, breathing, feeling thing. You are allowed to feel the way you feel and you deserve to feel heard and valid." You said softly. Tears welled up in Danny's eyes.
"Thank you." He said softly.
"I want to hear you say it too." You said as you moved a hand to rub the exposed portion of his back and another to the back of his neck to play with the hair at the base of his skull. He swallowed and looked at you again.
"I'm allowed to feel the way I feel and I deserve to feel heard and valid." He said softly. You smiled down at him and pulled him into a kiss. He moved his hand up to mess with you hair and his other hand to the small of your back. You pressed your hips against his so the two of you were as close as possible. The two of you parted and Danny burried his face in your chest. You played with his hair and traced small circles on his shoulder blade. The two of you stayed like that for a few minutes, enjoying the closeness.
"Do you feel any better?" You asked as you kissed Danny's head.
"Ya. Y/n?" Danny asked, his voice vibrating through your sternum.
"Yes?" You asked softly as you continued to play with his hair.
"I love you. Like, I don't know how to describe how much I absolutely love you." Danny said as he pulled back to look at you. You smiled softly.
"I love you too Danny." You said softly.
"Y/n, your shirt is covered in blood and dirt..." Danny said as he loosened his grip on you.
"It's okay baby." You said as you kissed his forehead. Danny moved you off of his lap and stood up, walking to his closet.
"Here, you can borrow one of my shirts." Danny said as he grabbed two shirts and handed you one. You jumped up to help him get the shirt on over the gauze, before taking off your own shirt and grabbing Danny's to wear. You looked over to see a blushing Danny staring at you.
"What?" You asked with a chuckle.
"Uh, nothing." Danny said awkwardly. You dropped the shirt and walked over to Danny.
"What is it?" You asked with a slight smirk.
"Well...y/n, have you ever gotten a hickey?" Danny asked as he looked down at your breats. You started blushing immediately.
"Uh...n-no." You said softly.
"Can I give you one?" Danny asked looking up at you.
"Sure." You said as you felt your face heat up. Danny pulled you against his body and lowered his head to kiss along your neck. You bit your lip slightly as he laid you down on his bead and moved down, just below your collar bone. He kissed the spot a few times then took the skin into his mouth, sucking and biting on it until when he let it go, there was a reddish-blue bruise left behind. He kissed the spot again and looked up at you.
"How was that?" Danny asked softly.
"That felt...really nice." You said, gently biting your lip. Danny blushed again and kissed along your chest and collar bones.
"Here." He said handing you the shirt he grabbed for you. You put the shirt on and sat next to him. Danny pulled you into a deep, passionate kiss. You slowly laid down and pulled him down to lay on top of you. You gently rubbed his back, and let him fall asleep on top of you. You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket.
Johnny: Hey, I'm finally up. What do you want to do?
You looked at the time. 2:46.
You: Over 2 hours late lol.
Johnny: Whatever. What do you want to do?
You: Sorry dude, I'm kinda in the middle of something. Wanna get dinner instead of lunch?
Johnny: Honestly? Ya. That gives me time to work up the strength to get up and socialize.
You: Lol. Meet outside the house at 5:30?
Johnny: Ya.
You: See you then.
You went back to rubbing Danny's back. He's had a long week, I'll let him sleep until I have to go. You adjusted to get comfy. Right after you got comfortable Danny moved and wrapped his arms around you and mumbled a soft,
"Y/n...." Before he adjusted and was still again. You smiled and held him, happy to have him in your arms.
