Benji's ginger hovered over the contact name Jorge recently gave to him uncertainty. It was 2:00-something in the morning, but he knew Jorge was awake and from the conversation they had the other day, he seemed off again.
Benji controlled the urge to call him right then, but the reality hit that this was a person he just met online, and he couldn't bring himself to do it. Tonight Jorge was different. They'd been talking for almost a month and Benji could easily tell when something was wrong. He was taking longer to respond so Benji'd go back and forth between Syd and Jorge until Jorge stopped answering completely.
