Benji set his phone down with slight disappointment at the short conversation. And he hated to pry but Jorge was still active on his Instagram and got a little paranoid— they hadn't called since the one night when Jorge was crying. Benji began to worry about if he pushed too far.
Their relationship was still sensitive and very surfaced. The only communication they had was through a screen and Benji wished they lived maybe even a little closer.
If he had already pushed Jorge to his limit, he might as well go a little farther. He didn't want to involve himself in his personal life, but he didn't believe Jorge for a second when he said he was okay.
