Ashton's POV.

"Ella..."

"Don't! " her friend barked. Swallowing hard like he was trying not to say or do something bad like something was holding him back. "Thank her later for still saving your ass after what you did. And Don't you dare show her your face again. She has been through enough. " her friend yelled pointing a finger at me.

"Give her some time" Mia interjected stopping me from running after her.

Mia walked toward the guy which I can't quite make out his name and said something.

"Come on I will drop you home" I returned from dropping Mia to find Jack inside his car waiting did me.

"Hey man." he greeted, stepping down from the car, and walking with me inside the house.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Drink? " that was the only thing he said and I understand him. He didn't have to add anything, no long explanations needed. The important thing was, he was here!

"Yeah" after a few drinks, and by few, I mean, I lost counts. I opened up and told him what transpired.

"I think I messed up"

"How?"

Mia said she was traveling tomorrow, and I felt bad for how I treated her of late, so I agreed to go out for dinner with her. I was perking her goodbye, but she turned and it landed on her lips. Ella was there and happen to see us. To anyone, it probably looked like two lovers having a romantic kiss, but that wasn't it. I swear! I didn't know Ella was there with her friend. " I explained.

"I don't see this as a mess at all. You guys aren't together, so it is not that you cheated or something. Unless you guys are hiding something from me. " right! He didn't know about last night.

"We had sex. It wasn't just sex J, I think I'm falling for my personal assistant. And after what she saw, she probably thinks I just wanted sex.

maybe I had too many drinks but I knew I had feelings for her, I was waiting for the right time and see where that got me. I am hurt by the turn of events. But I am more hurt for causing her pain. She deserves better.

"Just tell her the truth of what she saw, and then tell her your feelings too. She likes you too. She will believe you "

"You think so?"

"I know so. Try it. I know you as someone who won't give up easily, don't prove me wrong if she doesn't listen at first, keep trying."

"Good morning sir" Ella smiled looking breathtaking in her office wear. Looking unaffected by the happenings of last night.

Though I was happy to see her, I was beyond shocked to see her as well. I thought she will quit her job. That was what she did with her last job. I'm glad she didn't though!

But... She acted too chilled out that I could only wonder what she was up to.

"Ella..." she didn't give me the chance to continue.

"Sir, you schedule for today, " she ignored me completely. Handing me my schedule.

How will I explained when she is pretending like nothing happen?
