Nani barely made it through dinner with Eris and her husband, but soon it was over and Eris was walking out the door with his eyes trained on hers. After he left, Nani and Dallas barely spoke and both went to bed. Now it was the next day, and not only that but a dreaded Sunday morning that she must spend at church.

"I don't think that is such a good idea Naomi...", Nani whisper yells through the phone

Her father did not let her use the phone in
church, so when her sister called she had to run to the back room just to speak to her.

"What can go wrong Nani? Stop being such a fucking pussy", Naomi says

Nani can just picture her rolling her eyes.

"Father will kill me Naomi! Don't you care?!", Nani whines

"You need to stop being afraid of that toxic man Nani. He is controlling your life, and you need to have some fun. He is keeping you from living", Naomi says

"Fine... Fine! I need an excuse to tell Dallas, but I will be at your house by seven", Nani says smiling at her sister's yell of excitement

"Okay! I will see you then sissy. I love you", Naomi says with a voice full of joy

"And I love you.", Nani says before hanging up the phone and sneaking back into the church service

"Where is Neriah?", She asks Dallas, who was supposed to be watching her.

"I don't know. Your father said I didn't need to watch her, and that she could take care of herself", Dallas says not bothering to look up from the Bible in his hands

"Your so inconsiderate Dallas. She is just a child. She should not be able to just wander off. I don't understand how men can be so ignorant.", Nani says huffing

"But your father said...", he starts only to be harshly interrupted

"I don't care what my father said! She is JUST a child", She sneers before walking off not caring who witnessed the argument

"Neriah!", Nani calls walking out the church

"Sissy?", Neriah sniffles looking up from her place under the big oak tree that was next to the church

"You can NOT just go running off. There are bad people in this world that will harm you", Nani says sitting next to her

"I miss you Nani. Daddy isn't very nice", the tiny girl pouts

"What's wrong? What did father do?", The eldest sister asks with a worried crease in her forehead

"He doesn't like me very much does he? Daddy says that I'm the reason mommy died. Is that true sissy?", Neriah asks looking up at Nani with watery eyes
