Nani woke up the next day with her baby sister still clinging to her chest. Tears welled in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. She would not let Dallas see her broken. It's would only give him satisfaction and think he made her 'submit' as her father did his mother everyday of her life.

Nani kissed Neriah's face and made her way to the shower. She scrubbed her skin til it was red and raw and didn't dare look down at what he did. She couldn't.

She put on a simple outfit and walked into the kitchen staring into the eyes of her devil.

"Goodmorning honey", He says, his smile lighting up the room.

She felt like stabbing him with a kitchen knife at that exact moment.

"I would rather not converse with you as though yesterday never happened. You raped me while my baby sister was right in the other room", she says glaring into his eyes

"I did NOT rape you. I took what was rightfully mine. You are mine Nani.", he says making her slap him across his face

"I will NEVER be yours Dallas", she cries walking out the house and slamming the door behind her

She needed air. She felt her chest tighten painfully and gasped for breathe as she made her way to Eris' house.

She pounded on the back door, but no one came. She cried trying to come to terms with what was going on in her chaotic life. She slid down the door and took a much needed breather.

"Where was Eris? Where was he when I need him most?", She thought

After about thirty minutes, she gets the courage to stand up and walk back across the yard.

"Where have you been? Why are you coming from Eris' house?", Dallas yells in her face

"I wasn't. I was merely looking at a bird from across the fence", she lies looking down

He scowls and looks around them before yanking her back inside.

"What happened to you Dallas. You were such a good man before", she says looking up at him

"I was gullible, naive, uneducated of what it means to be a true man of God.", he says like what he and Christian were true men of God

"No Dallas who told you that?", She says shaking her head in denial

"Your father. The best preacher in the City", he says proudly

"HE. IS. WRONG. You will go to hell if you keep being the man my father is", she says earning a hard backhand to her face

"Never disrespect your father again. I will not allow my wife to be outspoken. It's time the household change and you take the role your meant to have", he says watching her wipe the blood off her mouth

"I hate you", she says when he grips her hair tightly in his hand

"That's okay, but you will respect me", he says forcefully dropping her head back into the floor

She watched him leave in disdain as she walks back to the room with Neriah and immediately drops to her knees in tears.

"God I'm sorry for my sins. I'm sorry for sleeping with Eris while I was married, but God I love him. I love him so much. I went about this all wrong, but I will right my wrongs if given the chance. I will make this right in your name and fix all my mistakes. Even if that means I lose everything I love so much. I will fix this", she prays hoping everything will be okay if she comes clean about everything

She couldn't live like this any longer. She couldn't become her mother. She wouldn't let herself.
