This song kept playing in my head I have no idea why. Anyways enjoy)
Percy POV
After the field trip, I started to actually train in my free time. Not against real people of course, I didn't want to get kicked out of school already, I just mimicked fighting movements over and over again in my dorm room. I joined the swim and track team at school, not using my powers because that's cheating, and also sometimes went to the gym. Gary is questioning his mental sanity and people have started to think that he is high on all of the drugs. The teachers have searched his dorm room too many times for me to keep track. I apologized to Nancy for almost breaking her spine, an honest mistake, and we both agreed to hate on Gary together. Ya see, it all works out in the grand scheme of things. I'm pretty sure that grand scheme is not the gods doings because then the world would have died a long time ago. I have tried to train my powers but most would cause the school to explode so I mainly focus on my time abilities. I learned that it took more energy to freeze time when there were lots of people and if those people were strong. I have gained better control over them but I only have the fading soul of Kronos. To beat the gods, I would need his full power. Well, I guess I have to wait 5 years for world domination. It was about a week before the finals and I was studying in my room late at night. Then Gary bust into room.
"The school's crazy! First nobody in school remembers the stupid algebra teacher, now when I went to look for my friend to ask if he would help me cheat in my test, I find Grover and Mr Brunner talking about keeping me alive and something about the summer solstice!" My brother exclaimed. He was sweating and pacing my dorm with his hands in his hair.
"What kind of drugs are you on and why are you in my room" I sigh. I couldn't concentrate with him ranting.
"I can't complain about this in my room because my roommate thinks I'm crazy. But you know right? You were there when Ms Dodds turned into that bat witch demon thing" he said. Wow, now I see why people think he's crazy. He's obviously not but I like to see him suffer a bit.
"I'm trying to study here. Get out" I tell him while pushing him out of my dorm and shutting the door. After exams
I passed the exams with flying colours and instantly Iris messaged my mom to brag to her. She called me a show off but then had to quickly get off because Gabe wanted some beer. I cannot wait to murder that idiot. At least she didn't say anything about a burnt down bedroom so Hephaestus must have pulled through. Gary didn't do so well. He kinda failed every class. At least when I did it the first time, I got straight Cs, soooo ha I win yet again! I am undefeated. It came to the last day of school and I was excited to get to camp. There I could finally properly train instead of just swinging at the air and shooting at plastic cups which I got from Walmart from across my dorm room. I said goodbye to all my teachers who said they would be glad to teach me next year but I knew that I couldn't. I had to stay at Camp to train so that I could actually stand a chance at winning this war. We ran over to the bus, me dragging Gary because we were about to miss it, and Grover ran clumsily behind us. We got on the bus and I sat at the back yet again. Saw Grover was being nervous, probably smelled some monsters or something, and Gary kept trying to interrogate the goat. The bus suddenly broke down and we all got off. There were maple trees and trash on one side of the busy, four-lane road, and a bountiful fruit stand on the other side. Three old ladies sit next to the fruit stand, knitting a pair of giant, dark purple socks. So it's not Luke, because last time the socks were electric blue. They stare straight at Gary and Atropos, the one on the right who has the overgrown scissors, cuts the thread. I casually flipped off the three fates and Clotho, the middle one who spins the thread of life snarled at me. I gave them a shit eating grin and they disappeared into thin air. Then the bus started working again. Huzzah! Our drive back home was relatively uneventful. I was bored to I made a mist image of myself, sat on the roof of the bus and rapid fired shots at random things. Tree? Arrow. Billboard? Arrow. Random forest rabbit? Arrow. Ok I felt slightly bad for that last one. I continued to do this until I got bored again, which was about 5 minutes later. Dammit ADHD. I summoned a rock which could be used as a whetstone and started to sharpen my swords. I made sure my bowstring was tight and the grip was good. I then turned my ukulele and polished my weapons. Even magical items needed to be kept in shape. After that, we finally reached New York city. I climbed back into the bus and got rid of the mist clone thing just before we arrived. Grover excuses himself to go to the toilet and after 5 minutes, Gary got bored of waiting so we got a cab to drive us back home. I heard Gabe arguing with mom about something so I just went into the apartment.
"Hey mom" I say and hug her while Gary is being forced to cough up his money so that Gabe could play poker.
"What were you and the ass talking about?" I ask.
"Language Mr" she scolds me.
"You do know I'm like 18 right?" I ask her.
"Yeah but as long as you live under my house, you live by my rules" she said.
"Yes ma'am" I grumble.
"I was talking about the trip to Montauk and he is being very difficult" she explained.
"Don't worry, I got this" I tell my mom. I could either use the mist to convince him, or scare the shit out of my abusive stepfather. I went with the more fun option. I walked over to Gabe who was spending all his money on gambling.
"What do you want ya little shit" he said. I smiled innocently, picked him up by his shirt collar and slammed him into the wall.
"So, I was wondering if me and mom could go on a trip for just a little bit?" I ask him casually while slowly crushing his wind pipe. Gabe nodded so fast I was scared that he would get whiplash.
"Oh, and can we take your car?" I ask. He looked at me angrily and was about to say something but I kneed him in the gut and punched him in the face.
"What was that?" I growl.
"Go ahead" he said meakly.
"See, it wasn't that hard now was it?" I say cheerfully as I skip towards my mother who was smirking slightly.
"To the beach!" I yell as I run to my room to pack my stuff. About an hour later, we were in Gabe's car driving to Montauk. My mom was talking to Gary about Poseidon making it as vague as possible. She called him a good and kind man, yeah like the one who exploits his son and then throws him away like trash. Gary kept grinning at me smugly, taunting me for not having any real parents. Ah yes, in this timeline I'm technically adopted, almost forgot. I just ignored him and stared out of the window at the setting sun. Apollo really can be beautiful sometimes, I'm not gay, I'm just stating a fact. We arrived at Montauk set up our stuff, well Gary did, me and my mom already knew what was gonna happen so we didn't bother to unpack. I called dibs on the bunk bed because the bunk bed is always superior. I decided to sleep for a bit so that I had enough energy to see camp again.(I'm sorry for the short chapter but I am still a bit sick. Imma milk that illness as an excuse for as long as possible. I actually took a nap today so there was not that much time.)
