Percy POV

I had a wonderful dream. It was the same one I had the last time except for a few changes. The white horse and eagle were still fighting but this time I came in and murdered them both with a bazuka. It was great. I was mad when Grover woke me up. He wasn't wearing pants and his goat legs were showing. Gary nearly had a heart attack when he saw Grover's furry hindquarters.
"We have to go right now. Sally, being them to camp. It's right behind me" Grover said urgently. God damnit stop playing the pronoun game goat boy! You could just say a half man half bull was chasing after you. Jeez. I grabed our bags while Gary threw all his luggage back inside and then we drove off onto the highway to hell. The hurricane outside was slowing mom down and the fact that Gary was basically demanding answers was not helping. Grover tried to explain what the Greek world was real in this life and same with all the mythological stuff and that our parents were gods and stuff. Yeah I didn't really listen and was humming a tune while staring out the window.
"Wait so Mrs Dodds was real? I knew I wasn't crazy! Wait so why did everyone else forget about her and why didn't you tell me?" Gary yelled while fist pumping.
The less you knew, the fewer monsters you'd attract" Grover said like that should be perfect normal. "We put mist on the mortals's eyes so they would forget about the kindly one. We hoped you would think the kindly one was a hallucination but it didn't work. You were starting to realize who you are."
"What am I?" Asked Gary who was, for once, paying attention to something.
"A demigod" I reply befire Grover could speak. The goat looked at me in shock. "What did you think I wouldn't price the puzzle? I did some research after the field trip and considering how much mom talked to the idiot about Greek mythology, I was pretty sure we were related to it in some way or other. So either he is a demigod of a descendant of a demigod."
"Why didn't you say anything when I asked you?" My brother demanded angrily. I gave him a smirk.
"Simple, I wanted to see you struggle. It is quite amusing" I tell him. Before Gary could reply, a lightning bolt hit our car and we were launched. Kinda forgot about this. Our car flipped 5 times (I counted) and then crashed into a tree. I was happy and mad at the same time. Happy because Gabe's car got wrecked, but mad because Zeus almost killed us. Eh I'll get him back later. I groaned and got out of the car. I helped my mom and Gary crawled out from the wreckage while dragging Grover. We were still being chased, I could sense the beef boy was close by. How? I have no idea. Maybe it's because of how many times I killed that monster.
"We have to go! Quick, just past that pine tree and you'll be safe" mom said and I carried Grover, because Gary was too weak to drag the goat, and started to jog to Thalia's tree where the border was. Mom was helping Gary, he was complaining that his leg was cramped, and I quickly lay Grover's unconscious body on the ground before running back to help her. As I turned around, I was tackled and carried into a nearby tree with a hand clamped over my mouth so I couldn't tell out. They tested me on the branch and I turned to glare at them.
"What the heck are you guys doing here!" I hissed.
"Lord Hades needs to capture your mom so that you will go on your quest and Ares gives you the bolt and you can take the helm. We can't have you killing the minotaur before that happens" Tisiphone (I laughed so hard when I googled that name) explained.
"That makes sense. Ok then, just... try not to hurt her ok?" I say and then jump off the tree. Just then, the minotaur roared (wow great, just warn them that your coming. Great battle strategy) and charged at Gary. He may or may not have pissed his pants, I couldn't really see in this lighting, and then he passed out from fear. The bull just looked at him questioningly like 'wait what? I was expecting a battle, oh well free food'. Before he could eat my brother, Gary probably would have tasted bad, my mom took a giant branch from the ground and slammed it into the back of the monsters head. I winced a bit because my mom had a lot of strength. The minotaur, after blinking the spots out of its eyes, grabbed my mom and she burst into golden dust. I swear if Hades hurt my mom I'm going to send him to Tartarus the hard way. I summoned my ukulele and played a quick rift which got the bulls attention. It charged straight at me. I waited for the perfect moments before stepping to the side and slamming the musical instrument into the monsters skull, causing one of it's horns to fly off. It roared in anger and charged me again but this time, I decided to use my powers. The gravity around the bull increased until it was 50 times stronger than the one on earth. The minotaur was on the ground, not being able to move at all. I then took out my bow and shot him straight in the head.
"Now if you could please stop staring and help with the unconscious people, I would be very grateful" I say without turning around. I then turn to see Chiron and Annabeth staring at me.
"Top of the morning to you Mr Brunner, we have a lot to discuss." I say with a smirk. He had Annabeth drag the two unconscious people into the camp infirmary while I walked with him to the big house.
"So Chiron, how often do you cosplay as a disabled Latin teacher?" I ask him.
"When did you find out?" He asked not answering my question.
"Oh after being attacked by a fury, one does his research" was all I said.
"Who is you godly parent? I saw you using a celestial bronze ukulele and a bow so you may be a Apollo child. And before that, I saw you weilding two blades against the fury, so maybe a child of Ares? I see you have much knowledge and the curiosity to find out information so a child of Athena?" Chiron contemplated. I just shrugged my shoulders to show that I didn't know. Just then, Annabeth came in panting, either for carrying two people or because she ran all the way here. After letting her catch her breath, she introduced herself.
"Hi, my name is Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena" she said shaking my hand. I didn't want to have physical contact with her but I also needed to gain their trust so I shook the hand.
"Percy Jackson" I say with an expressionless face. She frowns at my reaction but then perks up a bit when Chiron explains about my family background. Stalker. Annabeth seemed to be taking mental notes about the whole conversation. Once Chiron told her that I found out about the mythological world by myself, she became defensive, like she had to keep the title of smartest in the camp. She turned towards me.
"Let's have a challenge shall we?" She says to me.
"Why? Scared of losing your title?" I taunt her. She snorts.
"You, smarter than me? Yea, it's about as likely as my fatal flaw being stupidity" she said.
"Oh course it's not. Hubris isn't it?" I ask and I smirk as she stumbled back in shock.
"How did you know?" She questions.
"Oh I don't know, from the way you stand, trying to show that your confident, that you are the best person for everything. The way you became defensive when Chiron praised me. I don't know, it seemed pretty obvious to me" I tell Annabeth. She glares at me but has no dirt on me whatsoever. Chiron coughed into his fist to gain our attention.
"Percy, you shall be sleeping in the big house for tonight. I wouldn't want to wake the Hermes cabin now would I. Last time we did that, the whole camp got pranked" Chiron shuddered at the memory. I grinned as I remembered the Stolls telling me the story. The cabins were repainted, spiders were hidden in the Athena cabin, the Hephaestus campers had all their machines tampered with, Demeter cabin had poison ivy growing everywhere. It was a sight to be seen. I nodded to the centaur and gave Annabeth one final lopsided grin and then headed down to the basement to sleep. I didn't want to go near the oracle that was in the attic. Even after all this time, that mummy still gave me the creeps. I slept on the couch and grabbed a spare blanket. I basement was cold but I didn't want to set fire to the big house so there wasn't much I could do. I fell asleep to the sound of my own breathing echoing off the stone walls down in the cold, dark and empty basement.
