(I would say sorry, but I know you guys have heard that enough this book. Hope this was worth the wait. Probably not, but anyways enjoy.)

Percy POV

I woke up the next day refreshed and ready for anything. Then I realised I had to go on a quest for a stick and suddenly I wanted to go back to bed. Eventually I managed to drag myself out of bed, take a quick shower in cold water, freaking Luke used all the hot water, and grabbed a couple of waffles before going to say goodbye to my friends.
"So while I'm gone, remember to get more toilet paper, I think the mini fridge needs restocking, one of the light bulbs are broken so you guys probably should fix that-" I rant.
"Yea Yea we get Perce, now get going. I'm going to find Lou. She found a new explosion spell, I wanna watch her blow stuff up" Luke said excitedly like a dog who just got a new squeaky toy. This made me think he would be a great demolition man.
"Okay, just make sure the Stolls don't get ahold of matches again" I say. "That was an accident! We just wanted to cook some Ramen okay. It's not our fault that the cabin was made of wood, that is clearly a design flaw by the architects" the Stolls complained at the same time
"Riiiight. Anyways, just don't let them burn down the cabin again, make sure the pegasus are groomed and I swear if you guys lose a game of capture the flag and end our win streak-" I warn leaving the threat hanging in the air.
"Yeah yeah, just get going already. We know the drill, don't let the Stolls near anything explosive, stop Lou from opening a wormhole, stop feeding the pegasi skittles. We got this under control" Chris assured.
"I still can't believe that Luke is in charge when your gone. He is the least responsible person in here! I'll bet 10 drachmas that our diet will consists of ice cream and burritos for the next two weeks" Butch muttered.
"Hey what's wrong with burritos, they're a great source of protein, dietary fibers and phytochemicals, and might I add, they are low in fat" Luek replied.
"Well, they're starting to argue, so that's my que to leave. See ya" I wave to them as I walk towards the beach where Clarisse and Tyson were already waiting for me.
"Jeez, its about time. What took you so long?" asked Clarisse who was carelessly skipping rocks over the ocean water surface.
"Procrastination" I say casually laying my bag on a big rock and shoving the last piece of waffle into my mouth.
"So did you pack everything?" Clarisse asked. She hasn't trusted me with remembering things after I forgot the gorgon venom. It was a mistake, anyone could have forgotten the ceramic vial of blood that could heal death, its normal. Nonetheless, I checked the bag Hermes gave me.
"Flask full of air, vitamins incase we get scurvy at sea, sunglasses for cool factor, sunblock, clothes, teethbrush and teethpaste" I list off but the daughter of Ares cut me off.
"Uhh isn't it called toothpaste and toothbrush?" she asks.
"Do you only brush one tooth?" I argue. She shrugged her shoulders before continuing to chuck rocks at the ocean and I finished checking my bag. I held out my hand and the stone that Clarisse just threw flew out of the ocean and into my hand. The rock was smooth from being in the ocean for so long, flat and round, a pretty good skipping stone if I do say so myself. I fiddled with it for a while, tossing it into the air, forcing it to pause midair, making it glow red with heat, just playing around with my powers. Tyson was concentrating on tinkering with something in his huge hands but after a while, he looked up and a huge smile spread across his face.
"Yay, brother is here! Now we can leave camp" he said happily. Then confusion spread across his face and he looked around. "Uhh, how we going to leave camp?" The rock I was playing with fell into my open palm.
"I'm working on it" I said.
"Your telling me you don't know how where going to travel in the ocean?" Clarisse asked.
"I said I was working on it, not I don't know. Just give me a minute" I assured her quickly. I placed my hand on the sandy shore and spread out my senses into the underworld. Basically, I just felt for the place with the most death.
"Dad, I'm asking for a favour. I need a ride to travel the sea of monsters. If you get me a boat, I'll umm... I'll clean up Cerberus's poop for a month" I say mentally almost instantly regretting it. A dog that big gave out almost 100 more crap than a normal dog, maybe more. Another reason why I felt bad for the snake tail. The rock in my hand started to shimmer like a precious gem, hopefully meaning that my dad accepted the offer. I'm not really sure whether I'm happy or sad at that. I threw the stone at the water and it skipped 7 times before sinking. I waited for a bit, just enough for me to think I got scammed, before the whole beach shook and a massive ship emerged from the water. It was a massive trireme, probably able to occupy 1-2 hundred passangers. The ship was made of some type of metal, most probably iron, and had multiple cannons along its sides. Written on the side of the ship was the words 'Πλοίο των νεκρών' with a black coloured skull painted above the writing. The ship of the dead.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your ride has arrived" I say taking a bow, trying very hard to keep the smirk off my face. I muttered a silent thank you to my dad.
"Yay! Big boat!" Tyson shouted while clapping his hands together like a kid.
"Not bad prissy, but one thing, how are we going to pilot this boat. This thing is huge and we only have 3 people" Clarisse noticed. Before I could reply with something smart, probably something along the lines of I have no idea, a plank was thrown from the ship. I looked up to see several skeletal crewmen aboard the ship, some were swabbing the deck, some were checking out a map, most were manning the ships oars but there was one dude who stood out from all of them. He was standing at the edge of the ship, seemingly waiting for us with his hands in salute. He was the only one there who wore clothes, which sort of made him stand out and made me think he was important. His clothes consisted of a double-breasted, navy blue reefer jacket with four rows of two buttons; matching trousers; white shirt and black tie; peaked cap; and black leather shoes. Being a former son of Poseidon I immediately dubbed him as the captain.
"Well it seems to me that we have a crew. And you doubted that I had a plan" I say.
"No duh, thats because you didn't have a plan" Clarisse shot back.
"Pssh, details. Now come on, let's go, I wanna check out the ship" I say before boarding the boat.
"Welcome aboard this ship Admiral Jackson" the skeleton said still saluting. He had an accent that just screamed pirate. I half expected him to have an eyepatch, a wooden stump for a leg and an angry parrot sitting on his shoulder.
"Call me Percy please" I say stopping onto the ship and handing my bags to a couple of skeletons.
"As you wish Admiral Percy" he replied.
"No just Percy" I say.
"Okay Admiral just Percy" he said. Okay now I'm not sure if he was playing with me, just trying to be annoying, or just following general courtesy. I can't really tell which since, it's hard to read facial expressions when you don't have eyebrows. Or, you know, eyes.
"I ugh, fine. Admiral Jackson is fine. And you are?" I ask extending my hand to shake.
"My name is Sir Adolph Blaine Charles David Earl Frederick Gerald Hubert Irvin John Kenneth Lloyd Martin Nero Oliver Paul Quincy Randolph Sherman Thomas Uncas Victor William Xerxes Yancy Zeus Senior. Captain of this ship, navigator of the seas, slayer of sea beasts, tamer of the ocean, and best pirate you'll ever meet" he proudly while shaking my hand vigorously. That has got to be the longest handshake of my life.
"And I thought I had a long title" I mutter. "Yeah no, I'm not calling you that. How about... Marcus, you seem like a Marcus. Yeah, Marcus Skellington the pirate, that sounds good." The newly renamed skeleton just shrugged which I took as an okay sign for me to call him that. Just then Tyson and Clarisse finally made it up the plank, and Marcus turned to them saluting again. They were hauling a giant engine made of celestial bronze to the ship. Well it was mostly Tyson carrying it, Clarisse was just carrying their other stuff.
"Holy crap, where did you guys get that?" I ask.
"Built it last night, couldn't sleep. Gary too noisy" Tyson said with a toothy grin. He seemed to have a bit of peanut butter on his teeth. He either seemed to not notice or not care.
"Welcome abourd miss la rue, Mr Tyson, I am Sir Adolph Blaine Charles -" the skeleton started but I quickly cut him off.
"His names Marcus" I say simply. Really didn't want to stand here again for another 10 minutes. "Okay so now that we're all introduced, let's start thing quest! Tyson, fix that engine to the back of the boat somewhere, Clarisse, uh, do whatever it is you do. And now, que the pirates of the Caribbean music!"
