Percy POV
I fricking hate Zeus. First he nukes my stepfather's car (I wasn't that upset for that one), then he sends a giant electric eagle to hunt us? Yeah, I'm going to enjoy fading him from existence when the time comes. When I floated around in darkness for a while before a dream overtook my mind. I was warped into a giant room with two thrones at the ends. The floor, ceiling and walls were made of stone but they were decorated with expensive materials. The floors were carpeted with something that looked like hellhound fur, I know because of how many close-ups I had with that material whenever Mrs'O'Leary played with me. The walls had murals and pictures about scenes of gruesome deaths and torture. The only source of light came from a giant chandelier made of some type of glowing metal which dangled by a golden chain above the room. Skeletons wearing suits were walking through the room carrying trays, cleaning supplies, a my little pony lunchbox (I'm not going to judge what dead people think) and there were also guard skeletons defending the entrances into the throne room. The guard skeletons wore army type uniforms and each were armed with a rifle and a sword. The thrones themselves were beautiful and scary at the same time, being complete opposites to each other. In one of them, souls of different mortals floated around in the stygian iron chair and the sides were encrusted with many different types of gems. The other throne was made entirely out of grass and had flowers of all shapes and sizes growing on it. The throne seemed to radiate happiness and sunshine, outdoor activities, summertime, flowers, stuff like that. I think I preferred the one that radiated death. I would take a couple of human souls over flowers anytime.
"I like the décor, tho I'm getting a bit too much on the emo, lord of darkness vibe here" I say while turning around to look at Hades who was standing in the hallway smiling at me.
"Well, I tend to give off that type of aura. Probably the reason I don't get invited to parties" he joked.
"So, Why'd you being me here. Ok better question, how am I here, I thought that you guys weren't allowed to directly interfere with mortals?" I asked.
"Ah you see, I'm not technically breaking the ancient laws cause your supposed to be here" Hades explained and I gave him a quizzical look. "Your dead."
"Wait what?" I exclaimed. I then looked at my own hands. It was almost completely see through and was ethreal looking.
"What did you think that being hit by that much electricity wouldn't kill you?" He asked with a smirk. "Don't worry about it, your 'friends' are going to bring you back to life soon enough."
"Ah, that's good. I kinda like living, it's more fun. So what did you bring me here for anyway?" I ask.
"I know that you will be staying in the hotel lotus and casino for a few days before you pay your dear old uncle a visit so I would like you to check up on my children for me" Hades explained.
"Well it's good to see that at least one god cares about his offspring" I mutter.
"Anyways, I also think that they should be able to defend themselves well so would you give these to them?" he asks me while handing two beaded silver bracelets, a hairpin, and a skull ring.
"Okay, I'm going to assume that these are not jewelry but instead are deadly murder weapons that you want me to hand to your kids, do I have that right?" I ask. The lord of the dead flashed me an okay sign. I gave him a crooked smile in return.
"I'll make sure to hand it to them" I tell Hades.
"Thank you Perseus" he said.
"Percy" I instantly corrected him. "How many times do I have to tell you, no formalities." Just then, my dream started to become foggy at the edges and become blurry like someone changed the video quality.
"It seems your companions are resurrecting you now. Well, I'll see you in a few days Percy" he exaggerated my name.
"Oh don't mock me, I'll see you soon uncle" I manage to say before my dream cut to black. I expected myself to wake up but instead, I was brought over to another dream. I was still in the underworld except this time, next to the giant put that led straight into Tartarus. Even from the dream, I could feel myself slowly being drawn into the pit of death. A familiar voice spoke.
"Perseus Jackson, what a valuable pawn. You will be very useful in my plans child of Hestia" Kronos said. His voice was unspeakably old, cold, and powerful, like knives scraping against stone and it was weird to think, yes that is me, and I am threatening myself right now. What is my life. Oh wait, I/Kronos am/is still monologuing. I probably should start paying attention to him.
"-and join me in my quest to take down the Olympians. You are very powerful and would be a very useful asset to us. What have the gods ever done for you?" He continued. Umm I don't know, maybe brought me into this world and gave me cool powers? I don't know, just speculation.
"Fat chance gramps, I got my own plan to follow so don't get in my way" I tell him before I force myself out of that dream using sheer willpower. If only I learned how to do that before, I would have been able to save myself from so many scaring dreams that made me wake up in a cold sweat. After that, the rest of my dream included to me killing eagles over and over again. Sweet sweet revenge, even if it was only my imagination.
